  1. 4. I have to admit that seeing Clarry in defence and having no idea about defensive play was another coaching mistake. (Are we allowed to query Goodys decisions?). He looked scared with the footy in the back 25 and often misjudged the play. His mistake to let Cameron goal in the 3rd was a shocker. Often he handballed to a bloke under more pressure rather than kicking it clear out of defensive 50. His poor night was not the reason we lost but surely Goodys realised HBF is not Clarrys role.
  2. Unfortunately I think our depth has already been eroded due to off season departures, medical retirement and current injury list. Not sure there’s currently anyone in the cupboard to bring in for the Tigers game aside from Pickett.
  3. Agree JV7 never gives up and he’s a bull but I couldn’t come close to putting him in the votes. Lions midfield destroyed us.
  4. Forward entries. Wow. How bad!!! There was some terrible kicking from all the mids (without exception) that favoured the Lions defence to shut down our forwards. Often kicks were skewed or tumbled when a leading player was available. The turnovers were horrible. Seemingly only Tmcd or Riv knew how to direct a pass. Trac’s kicking again was erratic. Viney not much better. Billings missed targets again.
  5. Dees have been beaten in clearances in 4 of the 6 games, only winning clearances v Dogs and Hawks. With a dominant ruckman, it’s a damning stat. This was our real strength in winning the contested clearance. Somehow the Petracca, Oliver, Viney dominance is lacking. Often there’s fumbles or slipping over (too often) within the stoppage and we are on the back foot. We actually won the last quarter clearances v Lions (after getting smashed for the first 3 quarters) and it created a different game and goal opportunities. Need to get our centre clearance and stoppages worked out.
  6. This is about right … coach’s comments Goodwin admitted that his side was beaten "in all phases of the game" in the loss, but refused to use fatigue as an excuse after three games in 13 days. "They punished us around the ball, I thought they were certainly harder, they tackled better, they won the spilt ball better, they did a lot of things right," Goodwin said of the Lions' performance.
  7. Easy selection tonight Max Gawn - 6 votes Tom Mcd - 5 votes Ed Langdon - 4 votes Trent Rivers - 3 votes Jake Lever - 2 votes Steven May - 1 vote apologies to Sparrow Windsor and McVee who tried first time that Trac, JV7 or Clarry are not in the votes. They were horrible tonight and completely annihilated by Lions mids. Very poor - BBB, JVR, Fritta, Petty

  23. Got the love some work from A.B ā€œBanjoā€ Paterson There was movement at the station, for the word had passed around That the KOLT from WA would make his debut. And he would join the mighty Demons team to show his talent and tenacity to all that had come to see. So all the Dees supporters had gathered to the fray. All the loyal and loud Dees members from near and far away, Had mustered at the MCG on Thursday night to see the Kolt at play, For the Dees love his energy and excitement and hope with all their might, That his family and all around him enjoy the night, with his future that’s ahead.
  24. Sorry just a top up on the Florent offer. 5 years for a total $2.8m package. Saw the CBA and rises happening. Swans wouldn’t match it imv. and they need $$ in salary cap for Grundy, Adams etc and rises for McDonald/Gulden/Blakey etc.
