Deep Dive into Dees Issues
It will! Have heard some talk that the football dept has been officially put on notice and the club is making enquiries about an extensive external review of the entire football department seemingly the executive branch of the club agrees that the current situation is not one that will see us having any serious success in the near future and may need to change. in saying that, it doesn't mean Goody can't coach, or shouldn't be the coach. i just think it really says the game plan, and culture at present isn't working and needs to be overhauled. Buckley and Hardwick have undergone transformations like this in recent memory. hopefully Goody can learn from them.

Gawn In Doubt for Crows?
I'd just give Jackson a crack at it i reckon Give Maxy a rest

Preferred Midfield Mix
To add to this, i think this is exactly why we clicked in the 2018 finals, because we were forced into having a team midfield. Brayshaw added the inside/outside class, Oliver could focus on his best quality, winning the ball and distributing and Harmes was a tagger who could get 20 himself and get forward and score. much better balance.

Preferred Midfield Mix
Best midfield mix for me is Oliver, Brayshaw and Petracca at center bounces. Harmes rotating through adds a little bit more pace. I feel Viney unfortunately upsets the system and as much as he's a great Melbourne person, name and individual player. the overall result is a worse off team because of how he plays. unless he drastically changes his game style i can't see us winning a flag with Jack Viney.

INSIDE DEES’ REVIEW WITH ‘P****D OFF’ GOODWIN
Sadly i fear even if we lost every game for the rest of the season Goodwin would still retain his position for 2021

INSIDE DEES’ REVIEW WITH ‘P****D OFF’ GOODWIN
So he should be. i think i speak for everyone when i say the thing all fans want to see as a non negotiable is effort and care. and if we lose but we have a crack most of us can wear that. but with this team, and this coach i sometimes wonder.

The Need for Outside Midfielders
we'd be silly not to see if North are interested in dealing Polec. i'd happily take Ben Brown and Polec off their hands for Brayshaw and Tmac

Is Alistair Clarkson worth a discussion
Not sure if anyone of the legal minds on here can answer this, but surely clubs hiring a senior coach could put in legal clauses so that if certain performance markers weren't met the clubs would have the oppotunity to move them on without paying them out?

Tom McDonald
Trade bait, i reckon he'd still have some currency, and Weideman has well and truely overtaken him.

Is Alistair Clarkson worth a discussion
Raid the Hawks Clarkson and Yze to the dees.

GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Officially turning it off. sorry Melbourne. you're going nowehere with this coach and a bunch of blokes who couldn't hit the side of a barn.
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
This is an absolute mess. this cannot be tolerated from a team with basically full fitness, and good form, against a side that's been out of form. Defensively we aren't working even half as hard as we need to, we can't stick a tackle to save ourselves and we can't hit a target. all of our good players have gone missing besides Max.

GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
No gameplan in the world is going to stand up when mistakes like this are occuring.

GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Geez that was soft Langdon.

GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Last week will sting and i have a feeling things are clicking for the boys so i am tipping Dees by 35

TEAMS: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
No saty, i'd prefer to see our team stick up from each other, rather than just watch it, and if that eventuates into a free kick from time to time, that's much better. look at the Hawks when they had all their success. they didn't mind sticking up for each other even if it meant from time to time it cost them a free kick.

TEAMS: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
One thing that struck me in the last game was the lack of blokes who go in to support when guys get roughed up. Outside of Steven May they basically don't support their teammates. I'd much rather see a free kick be given away than the captain get roughed up and noone stand with him/

New Deal Looms for Fritsch
And would attract opposition interest for sure. much better to sign him up before they get a chance.
-
Angus Brayshaw
for me the shuffle you make is you give Oliver more forward time and give Gus more midfield time and the net positive overall seems better Oliver has shown he's capable of causing headaches up forward

The Brownlow Predictor
I feel like short of an injury or suspension Lachie Neale is going to win the brownlow by a fair margin

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
Sorry i worded it badly. i think we are closer to a premiership now than we were in 2018 as in i feel we've got our contest stuff back to a level where it's universally respected through the league, teams know the dees are good there. and i think our backline has improved drastically to being one of the better units going around. and ironically i think our forward line is functioning quite well the last few weeks. we're not there yet but i think we are a top 8 standard team with plenty of score to improve still.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Brisbane
We are a better team now than we were in 2018.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Out: Brayshaw, Jetta In: T.Mac, Neal-Bullen
-
Angus Brayshaw
I genuinely feel we'd be better off trying to lure a decent young half back, moving Salem into more of a mid/half back rotating position and then using Gus as trade bait to get someone who better compliments our side Unfortunately it's a ruthless business and Gus just isn't cutting it at the moment
-
Angus Brayshaw
I feel like he's a good inside mid in a team that doesn't need him for anything other than depth i think there is an opportunity for a win-win trade here if we could get something we need in return.
