Is it possible bates kept these dealings from the higher powers and that's why they produced what seems to be a lie in the statement? can't think of any other reasons they'd be silly enough to lie about that

Jackson has come in, now we need a proven coach and get some experienced quality people steering the [censored] back the right way. Neeld would be a great assistant or senior assistant but our position is too desperate to take the chance he won't come through.

Does anyone know what rule we have breached if we have mislead the AFL? Will be very interesting to see exactly what we were asked in the briefing and exactly what we said I know the public statement could be seen as misleading but i'd say that is just answering the questions without drawing attention to the club as it's entirely possible quite a few clubs would have had dank offering similar sorts of advice and so on.

I would love to see things turn for us like they have at port! Damien Barrett and his army of knobs will have to search for something decent to write about rather than just knocking us every other comment. -
Toumpas should have to earn his place through good form in the VFL it's obvious he needs time and work but kent seems ready to make an impact now so i can't understand why he doesn't get a chance

I look forward to seeing how terlich and watts go, they should both have every chance of getting good possessions playing off half back, although i'd much rather see watts at CHF

The worst part of all this being if they were upfront in the first place it wouldn't have been an issue, providing the only wrong doing is the fact they lied.

The loss of faith and trust of the AFL and supporters is worse than any punishment the MFC could be handed, as far as i am concerned the damage is done.

If contact with dank stopped the moment the investigation started, and we didn't use anything illegal, the only thing we are guilty of doing is saying that the players had no direct contact with dank, which may well be true. Either way, if they had have come out with this in the first place good chance it would be over and done with.

I hope there isn't the same situation as with jack Watts last week, if Toumpas isn't going to play for the 1st's i really hope he gets a run here, he might be able to get some good form happening and show the supporters how good he is going to be, building confidence at the same time

The only thing that bugs me is we have stood by Neeld after a 148 point loss, if we had done that with bailey, would we be playing finals football and still have rivers and moloney?

No doubt there is some talent on that list, which is the best and worst thing about the clubs position, the lack of ability to turn guys who ooze talent into superstars is almost hard to believe

Might be the best thing that could happen, our issues are not completely the boards fault but neutral people would come in, identify the problems and ruthlessly fix them. I whole heartedly believe that surrendering control to an extent to the AFL would equate to on field success sooner rather than later, the talent is there but the player development and culture isn't, we need to give our talent a reason to stay.

It would be crazy to sack Neeld without having a better replacement locked in, another untried coach would just continue the cycle most likely.

Trengove is the big one, i am pretty happy with what he does with the ball and how hard he works but too often he has 15-20 touches, we kinda need him winning 25 + consistantly and he is a goal kicking marking midfielder with good pace. Tapscott is another who could be anything or nothing depending on how he is managed in my opinion.
