Jonothan brown is a victorian boy, mathew pavlich is a south Australian, buddy is western Australian, none of the above have requested a trade to date, and we have plenty of upside with some good young players, the ability to play on the MCG 10+ times a year and very deep pockets in terms of cap room, not going to resign to the idea he will up and leave first chance he gets just yet. Surely this would have been something Neeld and the recruiting Team would have wanted to be confident about before the decided to invest so much time, resources and early picks on this young fella. glass half full anyways.

Buddy franklin is from WA and stayed, i understand we aren't Hawthorn, but it isn't a hopeless situation.

If he was in the draft next year, do you think he would go pick 1? he'd have to wouldn't he?

Such a shame he can't play this year! looking forward to putting some money on him to win the rising star next year by a mile.

Clark and Hogan could be one of the leagues best forward combinations and then our midfield is loaded with talent, if the players develop into the sorts of players we hope and expect them to be, we will have something pretty special to look forward too

Pretty terrible that a 21 year old young captain of ours had to be shielded by players from reporters because of the danker. Should spread a rumour he perscribed things to damien barrett to help him talk crap better.

The beard was apparently taking performance enhancing substances, so now it's gone we are clean and jack can play some good games

I really hope that peter jackson will identify the cause of alot of these problems and at least give us direction in his time at the club

It's a very difficult situation to accurately base our judgement of anyone at the club on, in a normal situation a coach performing like this would get the sack fairly quickly, but we have had a horror few years and before someone sacks Neeld or the board they have to be able to prove this isn't the problem and that they are. Personally i would be happy for them to sack Neeld providing they have the guarantee of a big name coach next year eg Paul Roos, Al Clarkson, Mark Williams, Kevin Sheedy Pretty Hard to see how a name like that is going to want to come anywhere near this place at the moment though.

Melbourne decide to use it's 1st pick in this years draft on Raph clarke and the league disown them on the spot.

I wonder if the treatment of Toumpas may be the development issue that Neeld and todd viney are rumoured to be butting heads over?

I'd hate to see it, but a mass walkout of players sick of all the crap would have to be on the cards.

He may have kept danks influence from the club and just mentioned he wants the players to have these substances, may not have felt it was something they needed to know so long as he had the approval for whatever it was.

Is it possible bates kept these dealings from the higher powers and that's why they produced what seems to be a lie in the statement? can't think of any other reasons they'd be silly enough to lie about that

Jackson has come in, now we need a proven coach and get some experienced quality people steering the [censored] back the right way. Neeld would be a great assistant or senior assistant but our position is too desperate to take the chance he won't come through.

In that case at the very worst this could equal a fine and abit of shame for the club then?

Does anyone know what rule we have breached if we have mislead the AFL? Will be very interesting to see exactly what we were asked in the briefing and exactly what we said I know the public statement could be seen as misleading but i'd say that is just answering the questions without drawing attention to the club as it's entirely possible quite a few clubs would have had dank offering similar sorts of advice and so on.

I would love to see things turn for us like they have at port! Damien Barrett and his army of knobs will have to search for something decent to write about rather than just knocking us every other comment.

Toumpas should have to earn his place through good form in the VFL it's obvious he needs time and work but kent seems ready to make an impact now so i can't understand why he doesn't get a chance
