Would you leave pick 1 open to offers or not even go that far? surely it would be silly not to at least see what sort of offers are made?
-
It's no good if we can't get the ball to them, and at this point our information is that Clark will be fine for round 1 2014
-
Haha fair enough, if Collingwood offered pendels i reckon we would take that over just about anything else any club could offer, young, elite mid, amazing skills, leader, everything we are screaming out for
-
Pendelbury is absolutely worth pick 1, no chance the pies will let him slip though, beams and sidebottom would have to be considered surely
-
beams or sidebottom?
-
or brisbane for rich or rockliff and a pick
-
trade pick on to gold coast for david swallow and first round pick or to GWS for taylor adams and pick 2 or to fremantle for michael barlow
-
Interestingly he mentioned picks 1&3 he must be putting quite abit of thought into this to come up with that as our ( at this stage ) most likely outcome.

Meatballs and veggies :D

Reckon PJ got his point across monday night
-
If he comes to us we are going to have to pay overs to be more appealing than some of the other clubs that will make offers, and even then he might not get on the field, i'd tread very carefully, would be fantastic if he stayed fit.
-
I would have thought Sydney would be a fantastic fit for someone like Dusty, although he'd look good in Red and Blue

Grimes is a heart and soul demon, workman like half back, tough as nails but not the elite mid Neeld was trying to mould him in, Trengove isn't the same player as he was when he was drafted, even in 2011 he had soo much more zip, i am wondering if the David Mission plan to bring the players fitness up has caused these issues with Trenners and a few others who look to have lost speed, a full pre season will tell the story but 2014 is make or break for trenners now.
-
Interesting he thinks Trenners is doing fine but doesn't rate Grimes, i thought it was the other way around to be honest.
-
Seriously, just sign the contract already Paul, 12 months ago the bloke couldn't be payed enough to say something nice about us.

No way in the world sheed goes anywhere but top 10 mate :/ would love to get him second round but i can't see that happening. -

We will win if cameron gets four or less goals
-
He took the fall for the club, no question and i'm sure he played a role in that situation coming up in the first place, i hardly see him as a saint in that regard, he did the right thing by us, that's appreciated but in a cutthroat profession industry there is no place for favours, if he doesn't fit into the structure he needs to be out the door.

Port v GWS round 19 2012 and the Port rebuild
Ted Lasso replied to DeeSpencer's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think Trenners will come good, he is getting his 20 touches and a few tackles a game atm and if he gets his zip back he will get more involved, Scully i'm not sure on, maybe the hype has been too much for him but he really isn't impacting games the way i would have hoped in all honesty i thought he was better with us than he has been at GWS. but as you said in hindsight Dustin Martin would have been a better choice than either. -
would you ask for Taylor adams and pick 2 or dylan shiel and a later pick it's hard to judge the currency of the GWS players.
-
This would have been a great opportunity to blood someone like Dom Barry who has been in good form, especially with blease out, little bit disappointing.
-
It will be interesting reading to see what type of coach he suggests, i'd have my money on him backing in rocket.

I suppose everyone has a different opinion on what it is, culture seems like the popular word at the moment but i am big on the idea that success creates success, the right environment will give us the best chance to get the best out of our players and staff, make others want to come on board, help us retain the talent we already have and so on, and the best environments are those of the teams that always find a way to win, Sydney and Geelong. In a bigger picture sort of way i think that is what we need to strive for because you can bring in all the talent in the world, but if you can't develop it or hang onto it you won't win any premierships in a hurry.
