  1. 1.mitch clark: he is the one capable of kicking a bag of goals 2. nathan jones: spiritual leader 3. james frawley: takes on and often beats the oppositions best forward 4. colin garland: fast becoming our best and most consistant player 5. jack grimes: brave strong captain who bleeds for the cause ( don't underestimate his influence 6. jack trengove: our best defensive midfielder, will be top ten in the comp when he finds his speed and becomes a complete player viney, toumpas, howe, blease, dawes, hogan, fitz, terlich,m.jones, sylvia all have the potential to push up
  2. ah, fair enough! all sounds pretty positive anyway, will be interesting for the next few days
  3. didnt the coach searching comitee meet today?
  4. they can announce it whenever, the biggest thing is that we hold on to players
  5. more so he has done a complete backflip on the list and he talks in circles rather than answering questions i may well be reading into things to much, but i'd say those don't hurt our chances
  6. two points that convince me he is our coach in 2014 1: he refuses to say no, strikes me as an honest guy so he is trying to find a way arouns lying. 2: he is constantly defending our list and players now when not 12 months ago he was worse than barett to me that says not only is he seriously considering it or has said yes, it also suggests he is passionate and excited about the opportunity
  7. I heard Jesse Hogan is the twin brother of Chuck Norris, don't want to put too many wraps on the kids but anything less than a brownlow, coleman and 1000 goals in his first year would mean he has had an injury
  8. The one thing we can be sure of is that at some point there will be a thread saying we should have taken Thomas Boyd instead of Jesse Hogan! it's a Demonland thing
  9. He is highly intelligent, highly educated and i would not be at all surprised if he is kept on next year.
  10. Absolutely no on field expectations, i want him to learn his trade playing alongside clark and dawes, and i want him to enjoy playing in a team that wins a few games, if he kicks his 20-30 goals for the year that would be fantastic but isn't essential
  11. I wouldn't be offering Dawes up for trade, if the right offer comes then it is probably worth seriously considering for example Bulldogs offer Griffen for Dawes and 2nd Round pick, you'd have to give it some thought ( won't happen )
  12. What happens if we get pick one as a result of the PP potentially? But i agree, can't see anyone saying no to 10 mil or whatever they are supposed to be offering him
  13. I reckon it would be pretty hard not to be interested in a wage like that haha, really hope this deal gets signed ASAP this could be a new dawn for MFC
  14. Hopefully they will announce the new coach and president in the next few weeks, pretty excited by all that is happening.
  15. It's not, but we really don't know what's going to happen, who's to say watts and trengove don't show us how good we thought they would be, Jones, grimes, garland, frawley, clark all have years thats put them around the AA mark and we shoot up the ladder like Port Adelaide did, as much as we need to add to our Midfield, Trengove rediscovering some pace and Toumpas and Viney getting more games into them will go a long way to us improving as a side.
  16. Fitz, jamar and a pick to GWS Adams, miles and a pick to MFC Just a brainstorm, but really rate Miles and we need mids
  17. Plenty of time to work out a deal, i just hope that Neil Craig remains at the club regardless of the outcome, his experience and interpersonal skills are a huge asset
  18. Where is the list at? we have what i would consider as the young talent that could ( provided they all stay fit and on the park ) could make up the best forward and backlines in the comp in a couple of years we probably need to recruit one or two A grade midfielders, other than that we have a really good young core group of mids that really just need some time
  19. So the Roo's deal is done then? any idea of some of the potential coaches for this plan?
  20. So if he wants a succession plan the contract may be shorter than some have suggested, might be looking at 2-3 years of Roos and then a Ling or Kirk?
  21. Yeah that sounds like the most likely and most appropriate plan, would love to see some names like Ling, Kirk and so on, coaches from the best cultures maybe a sumich or scott burns would be good for the succession plan.
  22. Not really 100% sure but if say Paul Roos had signed or at least indicated he wanted the job would they need a commission like this to assess the suitability of potential assistants and so on? everything i am hearing seems to be pointing to us being above a 50% chance of landing Roos, yet this move would suggest that is not accurate and we are having to look at other options
  23. Roos, Craig, WIlliams and Eade are all Very good coaches, we are in a good position to land a quality experienced senior coach although we have PJ and the AFL determined for that to be roos! would not be surprised if it is already a done deal hashing out finer details
