  1. After watching tonight, i would love to see the AFL introduce something similar, i understand they have all but ruled it out but i still can't help but think of how good it would be to see the best playing together and against each other. any thoughts?
  2. might regret these comments in five years time if he becomes as good as most of us think he will.
  3. I used to love watching the crows under craig, really good game plan, defense was amazing at times.
  4. His biggest issue was he didn't get the pace of AFL right away, not an uncommon issue and he is finally getting that and showing us why the club has considered him to be a better prospect than some really good players ( stringer, vlastian, wines, mcrae, menzel )
  5. You could argue that Roos stringing us along is hurting his brand? he portrays himself as a very honest and loyal sort of guy, and he is either lying to the public or at best misleading and does want to coach us, or he is leaving the door ajar on purpose because it somehow fuels his ego that we are chasing him. either way i think the fact we are chasing the best coach so hard balances it out, we are finally showing we are serious about becoming a force in the comp again.
  6. I would love for the club to at least come out and give us an honest account for where Mitch is at, give us a chance to brace ourselves for the worst or put the doubt to rest.
  7. Yeah i think mine is pretty similar, would like to see us Re-sign Watts Sylvia Gawn and offer extensions to Frawley ( 3 years) and Hogan (5 years)
  8. Agree, i would not be impressed if he left after we have put a huge amount of faith into him, i can understand the club probably see's Sylvia, watts and co as priority but still.
  9. Surely this is a joke? Trenners is 22 and had more than his fair share of injuries, Garland in my opinion is an All Australian quality versatile defender, Toumpas and kent are both young but show promise, as does clisby allthough he is a raw talent at this stage
  10. It really makes you wonder about what's going on in the minds of the AFL heavyweights, luckily i think it's only a matter of time before Tassie get their wish.
  11. It's fantastic isn't it, with so much of next years total club make up still up in the air to know we are heading for better things is a much better position to be in than we have been previously!
  12. A little bit concerned Gawn might not want to stay, anyone have some info on his potential re-signing?
  13. What sort of overall trade week out comes would people be happy with? for me i'm not sure what trade bait we have, but i'd love Adams, Miles, Cross and Aish and i think that is fairly realistic if our PP was a late 1st round pick we could trade that for adams, trade another pick for miles ( hugely underrated and fantastic leader) sign cross as a free agent and Aish i think is the best of the mids in the draft for our pick 2
  14. Absolutely mate, simply because where there is smoke there is fire, so many people were so confident he would coach us for quite some time, even a week ago, some high profile people were confident so it's entirely possible there is something we don't know going on there Having said that, i'd rather Williams or Eade.
  15. It's a strange situation but we can say with reasonable confidence that a. we won't know who will coach us until the season is over b. it will be one of Roos, Eade, Williams and Craig any i think will be a great get, but the recruiting off season will be far more important, if we don't adress our midfield needs well, jesus christ himself couldn't turn this ship around.
  16. The AFL must surely be feeling pretty stupid? Tassie would have had what 30k members from the word go
  17. And Eade would be a great get for us, but i would be utterly shocked if Williams didn't want the job.
  18. 10 years time will show which is a better position to be in, we still might be no good, they might well not be full stop.
  19. I would love to see Choco in Red and Blue, he might be abit of a nutter but he develops players fantastically well, our underachievers like Watts, trenners, tapscott and so on might well really take some strides under his guidance, we do have a good amount of talent for him to work with. and Jesse Hogan would be enough to have most prospective coaches keen to consider us.
  20. Would Luke Tapscott appeal to another team as trade bait? I would love to hang on to him but i don't see how he fits into the team, he can put on a good bump, but with watts and howe we have no room for him on the hff and he is not quick or does not have the engine to be an inside mid.
  21. Fair enough, better we get a desperate choco williams than a half hearted Roos anyway.
  22. Was a silly move from the word go, Tassie would have been a much better option.
  23. i wonder how trenners would go in a lecras role? he is pretty handy overhead
  24. absolutely we are attractive, someone gets trenners and watts playing like all australians and we do what port has done and they go down as the best coach ever and the biggest problem i'd say is belief
