  1. yeah, i think wines will come back to us at some point tbh, but i love the way crouch attacks the ball, dunstan, durmont and sheed are good too id love to get two of the above, if we can get pick 11 for watts id use that on crouch, 2 on sheed and 21 on durmont or dunstan that kid bombeetti or something, any good?
  2. anyone who winged about taking toumpas over wines, crouch is this years wines
  3. take him at pick 21 if durmont and dunstan arent there?
  4. I think if it comes to a choice we will take Aish or Sheed but if we were to trade Jack watts and get pick 10 or something like that, Crouch should be right on the radar. personally i'd be happy with Crouch at 2 but that's just me.
  5. You could argue his previous relationship both ways, sure he has been around and knows the players but what Neeld has implemented has been terrible and he was in a sense supposed to be the voice of reason, i'm sure the players love Craig and would love to be coached by him but at the same time i feel if say we hired Choco, the players could say, this bloke has won a premiership, knows what it takes, what it looks like, it's an instant level of faith and respect Craig or Eade couldn't demand.
  6. I found something i don't like about it in the first 4 picks, sure us and GWS could in theory pass on boyd, but i doubt Stkilda would very much, they need him as much as the doggies
  7. Sorry mate, didn't see your second comment so i edited my last one with the answer.
  8. Fair enough, i respect your opinion on this, what's happened since taking over shouldn't rule him out entirely, he didn't have the opportunity to do much, i don't think he has actually stated that he wants the job has he? he may well not even be an option and for your second point, Rodney eade has coached Sydney and Bulldogs from being very poor bottom four sides, developed their talent, got the best out of players noone rated ( Lindsay gilbee ) coached Sydney to a grand final, coached the bulldogs to consecutive Prelim fInals. Mark Williams: Well knows as one of the best developers of young and disgruntled talent of all current coaches in the AFL, has coached Port Adelaide to a premiership against the great Brisbane team, 5 prelim finals, 2 grand finals, won coach of the year twice, his influence at GWS and Richmond has been obvious even with him not in a senior coaching position Neil Craig: Coached an underperforming crows team for eight years which included 7 finals series, two prelim finals, two top of the ladder finishes, my greatest memory of craig as a senior coach was the famous crow bots that were very unlucky not to win a couple of premierships for 2004-2006, however he has never been in a position of developing a lowly team, i think this will count against him, PJ wants an experienced coach, experienced isn't as simple as having been a senior coach imo, it's about having developed a list, the experience of coaching a list from the bottom of the ladder and helping the players develop and rise up the ladder, also Craig may well not even want the job yet, he does not become a serious candidate until he states he actually wants the job all three are worthy choices but Eade and Williams for me, if nothing else a new face around the group will help with the destroyed confidence of the list.
  9. Jack Watts for Pick 10? they have almost certainly activated it to use as trade bait, we could then use pick 10 on Matt Crouch
  10. West Coast are very Keen on Yarren, would be very confident he will be over there in 2014
  11. We wouldn't mate, if Dunstan is there at 21 i guarantee we draft him. Aish isn't so set in stone there are a few options at the top of the draft
  12. unleash hell, what makes craig the best candidate? to me williams and eade are both ahead
  13. It's guys like this that are going to dig the club out of the situation it's in, guys who will either make it or die trying! really shows up the attitude problem of a few of the more high profile boys on the list
  14. He has been involved in mentoring and so on and has been asked by several younger lists to give talks about building a culture, about team success over individual success and all of that sort of thing, he knows what it takes to be successful as a team from a position where it doesn't seem possible so we would be more hiring him based on that experience than his actual coaching credentials, Which is fine providing we have some very good coaches around him to team him.
  15. This i agree with, we probably have 15-20 players who would make it onto another list, but it's really difficult to judge alot of our young players because of the lack of leadership and support around the place, they have really become victims of the clubs terrible management, another ten or more list changes and the list should start to turn though. here's hoping anyway. my point is more so that they would trade any of the before mentioned mids, possibly two of them if we offered up Jesse Hogan, that's how valuable our key position stocks are, mids are great but key power forwards and key backs are worth their weight in gold and we have great stocks in boths those area's
  16. Well done Fitz, has come on in leaps and bounds this year.
  17. Yeah i see your point but Frawley Mcdonald and Garland are very handy key defenders, our forward line of Howe, Dawes, Clark and Hogan will be top 8 quality as soon as next year, and Kent, Viney, Toumpas, Trengove, Jones, Grimes and co will get better with another pre season and so on, i feel as though we have the core of a good side buliding Brisbane have what will be one of the better midfields in the comp for a long time, but they don't have anything like the key position prospects we do. Obviously a bias opinion but i feel as though the right coach next year will give us the opportunity to see how good our list really is.
  18. eade has built a list from the ground up twice he is clearly the best option, roos is only ahead because of his profile, coaching wise they are fairly similar
  19. id rather coach mfc than the lions based on our key positions prospects, very strong spine and jack viney
  20. Does anyone have the specific charges? Sorry if this has been mentioned I am at work and unable you read through.
  21. The AFL can do whatever they want basically, i think we will get pick 1 because we have been shocking for 7 years, our average losing margin is 10 goals or something, we have lost by 90 plus points 6 times this year, lowest crowds i have ever seen for MFC GWS on the other hand it's all on the up, unlike us they don't need pick 1, it'd be a nice addition as it would for any other team but all they really need is time to become a superpower of the AFL
  22. I am firm in the belief that we also had a deal with them not to take Jimmy Toumpas at 2 like they had planned on doing the entire year leading up to the week of the draft when they suddenly decided Plowman and O'rourke were better options even though every recruiter in Australia rated them lower, although not really the point.
