  1. I'll start this by saying i am against this happening, but... Sam Weiderman has been pretty consistently good so far, does he come into calculations from this point on?
  2. Wagner O Mac Hunt Salem Tmac Trengove VDB Brayshaw Tyson Watts Hogan Petracca Kent Weiderman JKH Gawn Viney Oliver M.King Frost Stretch ANB Would go alright i reckon.
  3. Of course he's a chance! imo he's got a minimum of 6 votes already. $67 is great odds.
  4. The response by Jesse has been amazing!
  5. It also shows that age is no barrier, with the right plans and a couple of decent leaders being young doesn't mean you can't play good footy.
  6. I thought that was one of the sillier things i've ever seen, totally disrespectful to the field umpire who clearly called touched.
  7. I can't see any way Jeremy Howe stays in their best 22, i am pretty certain he wouldn't be in ours this year.
  8. He reminds me a bit of Josh jenkins a few years ago, showed huge potential but made some shocking errors, i think he will develop into a good player for us, but i am concerned just at the moment both Dawes and Pederson are ahead of him and i wouldn't like a bloke outside the best 22 being gifted games on potential, we have seen where that path leads
  9. 6 weeks imo, it was totally out of line, the players know not to leave the grand and bumping head high will cause them to miss weeks, May had other options and he went full pelt at Martin and took him out, i can't see there being much sympathy
  10. One of the really positive things that really stood out for me, and it's a strange positive but still, 6 of the pies goals, which is most of them, were caused by our turn overs, even when they got on top in the middle a bit, they really didn't look like scoring a whole lot, our defense is extremely good and doesn't rely on individual brilliance, when we tidy up our disposal and cut the errors back i am extremely confident we'll be one of if not the best defensive team in the comp. I had a chat with Cam Ling a few months back and i mentioned i was a Dees supporter and he said to be really patient with us this year, very similar to what Bomber and Macca did at Geelong they got the contest and defense right and then worked on the aggressive transition, he said geting that right means at times it'll be extremely exciting and at times extremely frustrating, and the ball movement is really the biggest and last domino that needs to fall for a side to really climb the ladder fast. I think that sums up where we're at to me, we beat the Giants, Should have beaten the drug cheats, maybe got ahead of ourselves, should have beaten North, by our own admission silly mistakes cost us that game, and should have beaten the pies by a lot more, we have some lapses which are frustrating but you can finally see a little glimpse of the end product imo. One of the big positives for me today was who wasn't playing for us, Vince has picked up 8 of a possible 9 brownlow votes in his last three games vs the Pies, that's a huge out, right as he was hitting form and Jeffy is as important as anyone in our front half. we seem to have stopped relying on Hogan as much since he's moved up the ground and the last two weeks our delivery inside 50 has been so much better!
  11. I really think Dean Kent is very underrated in terms of the pressure he puts on, he averages i think 2 goals a game himself but creates at least another 2 just with his pressure and chases and so on, very similar to what Jeff Garlett brings to the table
  12. He just signed a long term deal with the dockers.
  13. Bombers will beat the Pies again next week IMO and we'll beat the Tigers
  14. I thought he was really poor today, much like their whole team, just didn't want it nearly enough.
  15. The only part of today that i am fairly dissapointed was our inability to really put them to the sword, we should have won today by ten goals plus, as we push up the ladder we need the % boosts especially with the comp so close.
  16. Freo are in for a long re-build and we're super exciting! especially considering todays team was missing some absolute jets. I know which i'd choose but staying or going Jesse was much better today! i think we should keep him up the ground! our marking around the ground with Gawn, Pederson and Hogan was huge today
  17. I'd probably give Oliver a rest next week, he wasn't covering the ground quite as well as he had been. and i really think we have one to many talls and Frost might go out for Garlett Out: Oliver, Frost In: Vince, Garlett
  18. What i really liked about today was Hogan clearly didn't feel he had to carry the scoring of the team, even with Garlett out, so he got up the ground and made a huge impact around the ground and Watts was dominant deep, some weeks it'll be the other way around and Hogan will get on the end of a few but it's fantastic how well they're working together!
  19. 6 - Jack Viney 5 - Nathan Jones 4- Jack Watts 3 - Max Gawn 2- Dom Tyson 1 - Jesse Hogan
  20. I thought Tyson was much improved today, made a couple of mistakes but 24 touches, 6 tackles and 2 goals is getting back towards his best footy
  21. Now we HAVE to run away with this, want to be 50 points up minimum at 3/4 time, we can't take the foot off the throat, have to be ruthless like Hawthorn
  22. We don't look on at the start of this quarter...
  23. Dom Tyson played an amazing first quarter but has been well held since then! 10 touches and a goal in the first and now he's what 13-14 touches. with them watching him Jones and Viney have been able to get onto the ball a bit more
  24. Dom Tyson played an amazing first quarter but has been well held since then! 10 touches and a goal in the first and now he's what 13-14 touches. with them watching him Jones and Viney have been able to get onto the ball a bit more
