  1. We are getting a lot right, but seriously lacking polish, that and a few very dodgey umpiring decisions have been the difference today. Jeffy would have been handy
  2. Stuff that, if we go into any game this year hoping for anything that isn't a win, we're wasting our time
  3. Melbourne by 144 points, Weiderman to kick 4, Brayshaw 29 touches Petracca and ANB 28 each oh wait that was Casey. North by 28 points
  4. I think it will be a really good contest, GAWN vs Goldstein should be awesome, i think this game will be won and lost in each teams forward lines, can Hogan/WATTS/ Kennedy/Kent/ Vanders kick as many as Petrie/Brown/Waite/Thomas
  5. The saints were very good, but the Pies were well below par, they put basically no pressure on the Saints running backs, allowed them to move the ball way to easily.
  6. One thing seems to be pretty clear and that is that Brayshaw and Petracca are going to be insanely good AFL players, that's our Boak and Gray
  7. Feel a bit bad for Frankston.. but stoked for Casey!
  8. Shouldn't be to far off the firsts then? hopefully anyway
  9. Al Clarkson would have been alright, shame about the whole Hawthorn thing
  10. Listening to Worsfold then was really impressive, i hope our coaches are delivering the same messages about being brave and taking the game on, keep practicing good habits until they can execute them consistently under pressure. I don't mind when our boys make errors trying to take the game on, but stupid kicks trying to be defensive are annoying to watch.
  11. especially considering basically all of them have been uncontested touches, a heap of cheap touches in space missing targets. at least he's getting the pill i guess.
  12. He is so far from the player who dominated the under age years and the SANFL, but i do think it's far more to do with him, then Mfc
  13. I don't think Wines has improved much, i mean he started really well in his first year but really to me hasn't improved a heap since then. Jack Viney will overtake him if he hasn't already.
  14. Port are doing exactly what we should have done last week.. very frustrating
  15. I really think Jesse Hogan will respond very strongly this weekend, we may not win, but i think he'll remind everyone how good he is.
  16. I wasn't suggesting he was the only reason, in fact i was suggesting Macca was very significant and doesn't get a heap of credit for what he did, sometimes teaching the basics means being firm and you won't always be liked, but it's what has to be done. No doubt having imo the best development coach in the AFL as the senior coach at that time would have helped their progression a lot! and as you say the recruiting has been amazing.
  17. He played CHB in the national champs as a 17 year old for WA and was quite good, i think in time he could develop into a really good player at either end, but we need the forward.
  18. I do believe a great deal of what he did at Sydney came on the back of a really good coaching team, a group with Lyon, Longmire, and co, pretty full up on coaching talent. Roosy came in with some really clear goals in terms of turning the club around and getting them ready for a hand over, it seems a few of the doggies boys didn't like Macca and didn't think he was getting the best out of them, but he clearly did the right thing by the club and taught them contest and defense, and Bevo has layered it with attack and they look amazing. I think the MFC are attempting to do something similar, Roosy doesn't care about being liked, just wants the club in the best possible shape when Goody takes over, and it looks like we will be going okay.
  19. I always hate this not playing for the coach talk, i mean they might not like him but he's gone next year either way, it's not like they're going to get him sacked, they're professionals so it shouldn't have an impact on results.
  20. Coaches must think he's going alright.
  21. Clearly not, perhaps the club wants to see him do it consistently, perhaps like Trengove and Petracca he just needs to play a couple of weeks at Casey before being considered, there is clearly something going on there we don't know. i think he's far to good to be in the VFL for long.
  22. Situation is pretty simple for ANB, be so good we can't ignore him.
