  1. Yeah, wasn't much at all, little over a half and about 3/4 on the weekend, i think he'd be a week off if they had another option but they don't so he'll have to play to try and limit Gawns dominance as much as he possibly can.
  2. I don't think Clarkson will leave Hawthorn, why would you? they are a huge chance to make it four flags in a row and no signs of slowing down just yet. I do think the pies will look at someone with that Hawthorn style though, maybe that puts someone like Brett Ratten or Cam Bruce in the frame.
  3. I also think the game style and how hard they work helps, look at the doggies now, most of their players aren't that skillful but it's easy when you know where a bloke is going to be and he's running into space, it makes them look slick, even our ball movement at times on the weekend looked fantastic.
  4. I reckon Ken Hinkley might well be up for grabs at the end of the year, i can easily see Richmond, Collingwood, Port and Brisbane all sacking their coaches before the year is out.
  5. The pies have just gone for names rather than role players, Howe and Aish are perfect examples, big name, terrible players. and the Tigers just totally overrate their list, and somehow so does the rest of the footy world, i reckon richmond will have 10-12 starting 22 players on the weekend who wouldn't get a regular spot anywhere else and they think they're a top 4 side. we should really be 4-0 should have beaten North by 3-4 goals and they're clear on the top of the ladder, have shown in every game we can pile 6 goals in a row on easily and really blow games apart, that was something Geelong used to do very well, it'd be close, you leave the TV for a few minutes and suddenly they're 5 goals up. I usually enjoy listening to Gerard, he always seems the only one of the two with living brain cells and like he is babysitting drunken robbo, but laughing with just silly, i hope that he is reminded of that later in the year when there are a few rounds to go and we're in the mix and looking really good.
  6. I think we can win 10-13 games if we win all the games we should win, which we won't, but we might snag a few we don't expect to win as well. can we make finals? yes. will we make finals? i don't think so, i think we'll be in the mix but inexperience will cost us, but next year, look out.
  7. at this stage i'd say Parish is probably just ahead of Oliver and Caleb daniel
  8. Lids won't play, they'll be concerned about the ruck battle, underdone Maric and Vickery will hand us a significant advantage.
  9. Is in talks with the club about a new contract as well, should be done in the next few weeks.
  10. I think he's in a pretty similar boat to Petracca, where clearly he's above VFL level but has to build his fitness base up to where it's needed, especially at AFL level where i expect him to be played as a midfielder instead of a forward this year.
  11. Hate putting up a slightly negative topic after such a good win but it's been bothering me for a while, i don't believe Salem is working at half back. in his first year playing across half forward we saw an extremely creative and dangerous young playing with great skills and goal sense, now while he has transferred some of those attributes across half back, i just feel he's playing well below what he's capable in an attacking sense and he's not a great defender and opposition teams know it. I understand the importance of good ball users in defense and how important that is to our ball movement and game plan but i really think it's time to get Christian up the ground a bit more and let Wagner and go take up the mantle, Jesse loves when Jack watts delivers the ball to him, imagine having both Watts and Salem doing that on a regular basis. thoughts?
  12. I couldn't believe when he missed that set shot, he's normally insanely accurate in front of goal. whenever Nate jones has a set shot i tend to put it down as a goal the moment i see the mark, not bad when you can have an off day and still play as well as he did.
  13. I believe 85% game time would be equal to around 65% at AFL just with the huge jump in intensity, but i believe this will be balanced by the fact the majority of his game will be played up forward, which does help him a little bit. having said that we have no need to make changes for the sake of it and i think he'll be playing his first game in round 6 against the Saints.
  14. Right now our group of auto selections would imo be Vince, N.jones, Watts, Hogan, Mcdonald, Gawn, Viney, Garlett those guys will always be picked even if it means dropping someone who may be a bit unlucky
  15. It's not a rush, he's kicked what 4,4 and 3 in the praccie game and the first 2 real ones? he's going along well, and still very much building into it. i initially didn't think we'd see him much if at all this season due to not being as physically developed as he might need to be for AFL, but if his form continues at some point in the very near future they are going to have to seriously look at him.
  16. I'll start this by saying i am against this happening, but... Sam Weiderman has been pretty consistently good so far, does he come into calculations from this point on?
  17. Wagner O Mac Hunt Salem Tmac Trengove VDB Brayshaw Tyson Watts Hogan Petracca Kent Weiderman JKH Gawn Viney Oliver M.King Frost Stretch ANB Would go alright i reckon.
  18. Of course he's a chance! imo he's got a minimum of 6 votes already. $67 is great odds.
  19. It also shows that age is no barrier, with the right plans and a couple of decent leaders being young doesn't mean you can't play good footy.
  20. I thought that was one of the sillier things i've ever seen, totally disrespectful to the field umpire who clearly called touched.
  21. I can't see any way Jeremy Howe stays in their best 22, i am pretty certain he wouldn't be in ours this year.
  22. He reminds me a bit of Josh jenkins a few years ago, showed huge potential but made some shocking errors, i think he will develop into a good player for us, but i am concerned just at the moment both Dawes and Pederson are ahead of him and i wouldn't like a bloke outside the best 22 being gifted games on potential, we have seen where that path leads
