I am a little worried about the Saints, i don't think their young crop is that good outside of Billings

This could be the most important game in the clubs recent history, they have an opportunity to take a step that will distance the MFC of 2016 from the MFC of the last 10 years or so and really add some weight to the claims that we're an improved side. we have to win.

I think that's the clear advantage we have, in form Gawn vs underdone Maric. I also don't think the Tigers have a great match up for Watts or any of the small fleet which helps as well! Watts has generally played well against the tigers and when Watts plays well we normally win or go very close.

If he plays like he did on the weekend consistently i'll be pretty happy, just needs to cut the errors out of his game.

They WILL come out fired up, if we don't match them the game could be over at 1/4 time, if we do match them i think we'll get them over four quarters.

One thing i've noticed with Nathan this year is just how much his leadership has improved, he's gone from being what i'd consider a semi-selfish player who'd always look after his own performance so at least he could hold his head high to now being about 80% team and 20% himself. He's always the first in to stick up for team mates in push and shove, straight into the middle when we need a big clearance, gets around the young boys when they do something well! he's just a legend! He's probably imo slightly out of form at the minute, he's not kicking as well at goal this year as he usually does and making some skill errors but it's a really great sign for how the side has developed that he's not at his best and the side is going well, normally we'd fall to pieces if he wasn't at his best! well done Nathan! can easily see you finishing as a 300 game premiership captain of the MFC! and you deserve it!

Please, you have not said a nice thing about the kid, even before he was drafted it had already started and now you're calling posters soft for saying they feel for him when he's having a bad game. Not sure what facts you think you're pointing out..

I'd suggest most people wouldn't have ill feelings for Toump for no reason, and most would wish him well. but don't let that stop your pointless personal vendetta picket.

I don't personally consider calling other posters soft for having sympathy for a former player struggling at his new club a " Spirited discussion " the word i'd use is " Weak"

Port have played a half of footy, the second half their pressure has totally dropped off, Geelong are killing them on the inside and outside and noone from Port really looks like having any sort of impact. this is going to blow out to a 70-80 point loss. Not sure what's going on with the Power, they have plenty of talent on the list imo, not sure why they're performing so badly.

Jack Trengove is also one of the clubs best Aerobic athletes at the club, i really think the interchange cap suits him perfectly.
