  1. One of the biggest lesssons we learned in round 2 is that you don't bring in underdone players with the interchange cap. the Tigers have bought in at least two, i understand they desperately need a win here but it's a huge risk. Whoever is on Lids needs to run all over the place, and i'm sure Max will give Maric the run around.
  2. Christian was told exactly what the public was, he's the 23rd man, he'd play if Garlett didn't come up, Jeffy trained extremely well today and will play so Christian goes back to Casey and maybe next week, not the end of the world.
  3. No Sympathy for Track here, he'd be playing if he wasn't silly and broke his toe, fantastic sign for the club that we're now capable of holding someone with his talent back, as much as i'm sure he's very unimpressed at the moment, there is a significant lesson there for everyone involved.
  4. 9:45 am i'm about to jump in the car now, will do my best to get updates through.
  5. I think that's exactly what will happen, they'll know on Garlett by midday today, it's as much how he pulls up from Wednesday as how he trains today. I think it'll be Garland, more miiles in the legs of ANB and Track is important.
  6. Of our current best 22 the players i think would be a walk up start to Hawthorn (on exposed form) are: Nathan Jones, Jack Viney, Bernie Vince, Max Gawn, Jeff Garlett, Jesse Hogan, Jack Watts, Tom Mcdonald Nev Jetta and maybe Dom Tyson ( when you consider O'rourke is getting a game most weeks i think Dom would squeeze in )
  7. OMac is rated extremely highly within the club, I spoke to Macca at training a few weeks ago and asked how he thought Oscar was going and he said he's able to compete now but still probably one big pre season away from really being consistently AFL standard as a key defender, but the club rates him extremely highly, think he'll be a key part of our backline for the next decade with his brother, based on that conversation i'd be surprised if he wasn't in the 13, though who knows i think there are more than 13 really good prospects coming through the club right now. In the same conversation i asked who he rates higher of Petracca and Hogan, he just said they're both going to be extremely exciting for the Melbourne footy club for a long time.
  8. The one really big thing he said was that Petracca would only play if Garlett doesn't come up, but the club is expecting Jeffy to play, but he's the 23rd man, he's next in line if there is an injury or form drop off.
  9. Roosy just said Petracca won't play unless Jeffy doesn't come up.
  10. Not sure why they're favourites with the bookies, we've won the last 3-4 vs them, we're in much better form and have a clear advantage in the ruck/midfield. from what i can see we win unless we play a shocker.
  11. It's a weird game of cat and mouse, i reckon the club would be hoping they play an underdone lids over a 100% fit player, and i'm sure Gawn back himself to comfortable beat either or both the ruckman. I am absolutely certain they'd be more worried about Garlett than we would be about Lids or Maric.
  12. Let's hope he starts forward, he's the most useless forward going around.
  13. They'd be insane to play lids, he's a gun but with the interchange cap there is nowhere to hide for underdone players, if he breaks down it will cost them any chance in this game and i don't expect them to risk him until he's 100% right to go. Don't think Petracca will play.
  14. Unlike the mentally stable, sensible posters of Demonland.
  15. Sounds like the club is in great hands going forward and Goodie is really enjoying his time and working with the young players!
  16. Hogan, Weiderman, Gawn, Brayshaw, Petracca, Oliver, Tyson, Salem, Tmac, Omac, Wagner, Hunt, Vanders?
  17. Just thinking if we have Wagner coming through maybe Salem would be more damaging further up the ground, i suspect in time he will become a midfielder anyway but if we can cover his loss down back i think he'd really add something further up the ground
  18. Done for the year, if mission says a month it's more than likely a career threatening injury.
  19. Who cares what Dwayne thinks? his opinion is about as relevant as we made the Collingwood footy club look on the weekend. Jack will probably come out and kick 6 on the weekend just to really rub it in, on track for 30-40 goals this year and creates at least that many with his skills and creativity, i'd argue on current form he's in our top 5 most important players.
  20. God i hope we smash Richmond by 80 plus points..
  21. North are rubbish, flat track bullies who will again not make the grand final, they have had an easy draw and might well be gifted a top 4 spot but that's where it stops, they're not top 4 standard, barely top 8 standard and if Goldstein gets injured they won't even be that.
  22. I agree, grab the arm, if you pop his shoulder out on the way down you take him out of the game and he'll stop doing it, very harsh but he wouldn't get weeks if it's all he can do.
  23. If we win by 40 plus points watch the heat ramp up another couple of notches! so far they're fortunate Freo, Port and Collingwood are also underperforming so the spotlight is a little bit shared, but imo the Tigers and the Pies are the worst of the lot, both have recruited to be finals teams.
  24. first game he played about 50% game time, and the second was about 75% he did look a little better the second time around but he had Miles and Townsend in the 2's so that would have helped a bit. I honestly wouldn't play him yet, it just seems to be a case of them having no other options besides letting Vickery ruck the whole game against Gawn which would be borderline tanking.
