Even Wright and mccartin haven't been convincing in my opinion, They will probably be decent players but compared to the last couple of years it seems a pretty weak draft, maybe the real gems are down abit lower, Corey Ellis, De goey, ahern, Weller they all look solid prospects, perhaps the Dom Tyson type deal could prove a huge winner this year

agree on Mitchell, I find the boyd comparison interesting, I consider him to be ultra consistant but not someone who is going to be damaging, just an honest ball winner, I see Brayshaw as a little bit better than that, I think his kicking can be damaging, I found his national champs extremely disappointing compared to his lead up to them, perhaps he didn't handle the step up in quality very well, which could be a concern it's a pick I have no issue with trading, i'd rate Dylan Shiel a long way above Brayshaw to be totally honest, Petracca is the mid from the draft that really interests me, I reckon you have it bang on with Dustin Martin there, I reckon he will have bursts of brilliance but I don't rate his tank, I think he could fade in and out of games a little unless he can improve that.

Just did, for the record, brayshaws disposal is rated A+ on both sides, which is his biggest weapon, hence the Sam Mitchell comparison from end

Pick 4 to the suns for 11&15 Pick 3 & 11 for shiel and orourke Pick 15 for Tom Mitchell Pick 22 for tommlinson New midfield and versatile hardworking tall

Brayshaw has genuine toughness, is surprisingly quick and has elite skills on both feet, he and Petracca would be a great combo for us

I reckon we need some big signings, we have huge cap room, and trade assets

Look if you're offering i'd probably take Parker and Prestia for those picks haha.

Young Russel seems to be a pretty solid player, could play a lot of different positions but probably doesn't have the talent to stay in their side long term when he is competing with 22 blokes who could all be superstars i'd take him off their hands instead of the second rounder.

I really like this idea! If I was Roos, I'd be talking to Gold Coast about trading picks 4 and 24 for picks 11, 15 & 31. I'm sure GCS would like to move up in the draft and consolidate their talent, especially having to trim their list further as it shrinks, while we still need to bring in weight of numbers. Of course, this is all Gold Coast would be a good fit for a icing on the cake type player like Pickett trade 11 for Jake Carlisle trade 15 for Mitchell suddenly a compo pick has seen us replace Chip with a better defender, and add a really good midfield prospect to the list i'd probably then use pick 3 on Petracca knowing Trengove and Hogan will come back in and basically be like new players as well

Again I say, Dom Tyson and Jack Viney, Jay Kennedy-Harris, Christian Salem, Dean Kent, Tom Mcdonald are all under 21 and making a difference Nominations are irrelevant imo, we don't need those to tell us our young list is on the improve

I think the other thing Paul Roos and PJ would do is commit to making the best possible effort to trade the extra pick back into the mix, he has shown an obvious preference to bring in proven talent at every opportunity

I'd say we'd have to not win another game to have a realistic chance of getting any assistance, we had a powerful argument last year, If they could knock back they will never say yes to anyone.

It really doesnt look a great draft in my opinion but the key position players at the top end add trade value to the picks

But HH that is indirectly what you are suggesting, If we trade we get proven good players If we draft we get potential good players I think we need to top off the talent we have with a couple of classy players Offer prestia 5 years at 750,000 to come home to the club he and his family supported growing up Offer dangerfield 6 years at 1.2 million, with Clark's salary gone and frawley probably leaving we have huge cap room Trade pick 3& toumpas for danger Trade pick 4 for prestia Trade pick 21 and blease for tommlinson

I'd rather trade both picks, Petracca is the only mid that interests me

Dangerfield and shiel would improve our side massively, we have had a lot of close losses those two plus Hogan probably turns them to wind and has us in the top 8 mix

I reckon he might need a change of scenery anyways, it's been a tough start for jimmy Jake covers the loss of chip Dangerfield gives us that superstar for our kids to follow and means Jones and Tyson won't cop tags Sheil looks a ready made gun to me And I really rate colyer as a player, good hardness and real pace
