To your last point wise, why did this decision need to be made? Would we have been any worse off with only Nathan jones as captain? It was a decision that didn't need to be made, so yes I think it was Simon Goodwin trying to signal the end of the Paul Roos era and the start of his own. The captaincy may well be having little or no bearing on his form, but as it sits we don't know and I am simply saying if it turns out that the captaincy has had an impact I think goody needs to wear that because the decision didn't need to be made when it was.

Of course it matters if it's the captaincy because that means an unnecessary decision by a coach trying to stamp himself has caused Jack to suffer as a player. Simon Goodwin is accountable for any negative impact this has.

Yup it was Goodwin trying to make his mark. We need jack to be an elite player, we have Jones and Lewis to lead the club

I don't see the same attacking flair, I see a guy who is more worried about his team mates and to me that is a sign of the captaincy having an impact. Selections. Weideman 4 touches and totally out of form last week and still selected this week was outmarked 13 times today. Smith or pederson would have been better. as an example. He tries to be to cute at times but he isn't a bad player and easily in the best 10 players on our list

I am concerned about Simon goodwins coaching.

Simon Goodwin made viney captain simply to make a statement= vineys form has fallen away massively chamged the game style to be more attacking = not scoring any more and defense is non existent consistent mistakes at selection and multiple players have gone backwards

Peter wright is the one who could be a great partner to hogan up forward and a quality Chop out for max but I'd say he's worth a bit in a trade

I agree, and I also think it's a bit of a cop out to our midfield to say they're only good because of max, we have a strong and deep midfield who will adapt and compete I still expect us to win the next three games
