  1. I think we are, and he will be wearing number 1 next year. But i agree, i would like to see the rebuild happen through the draft, Brayshaw and Petracca with the two picks, our program is heavily focused on development Hogan, Petracca, Trengove, Toumpas, Salem, Brayshaw, Tyson, Stretch and co are a group that could take the club places if developed
  2. I reckon there is a massive chance we will trade pick 2 and the frawley compo
  3. My best guess at the first round would be 1.Stkilda - Patrick McCartin 2.Melbourne - Christian Petracca 3.Melbourne - Angus Brayshaw 4.GWS - Sam Durdin ( I reckon they want a key defender and despite his injury is a serious talent ) 5.Brisbane - Peter Wright 6.Bulldogs - Caleb Marchbank ( heard rumours they may take him a little early and love the look of him ) 7. Carlton - Tom Lamb ( Waite and Casbault rumoured to be leaving they need a forward target ) 8. Suns - Liam Duggan 9.Crows- Jake Lever 10.Eagles- Jarrod Pickett 11.Pies-Darcey Moore 12.Richmond- Jayden Laverde 13.North - Paul Ahern 14.Port - Jordan Degoey 15.Freo- Hugh Goddard 16.Geelong- Lachie Wellar 17.Hawthorn- Corey Ellis 18.Sydney- Issac Heeney I believe we will get stretch as a third round pick because no team will risk a player like Ahern or Laverde slipping down and them missing out if we call their bluff in the first round MFC second round pick - Brayden maynard, Roos wants blokes who bleed red and blue and has expressed a preference to draft mids and trade in key position players Hogan Maynard Petracca Brayshaw Stretch and later picks would be handy imo
  4. there was a rumour on a facebook page today, obviously nothing reliable because it's facebook that Levi Casbault and Carltons first pick would be headed to the dogs for Stringer and the dogs second rounder imo its a load of crap but thought i'd post it anyway
  5. I reckon Saints will take McCartin at pick 1. we will trade pick 2 as Petracca is the one with the real value and we will draft Brayshaw or look for a Tyson like trade with the frawley compo
  6. Beams and the pies 3rd rounder for the lions first and second rounder
  7. I have heard they're aweful to deal with at the trade table.
  8. Not sure which player we would want / they would give up, I reckon the Pies would love another really high pick for their mini rebuild, see if we could snag a player and their first rounder maybe?
  9. Patrick McCartin in my opinion, the next two drafts I believe are pretty full of mids and they seriously need a good young key forward to build around, I think he will be far more valuable to them than Petracca would. but essentially i'd say it's between McCartin and Petracca with Wright an outside chance.
  10. I reckon most of the recruiters would get on alright. I reckon the Saints will take McCartin and I don't think they would have any issues telling us that, it's not like we could trump their pick and steal him.
  11. Mccartin Petracca Wright Brayshaw Marchbank Durdin Wellar Ahern Levade Duggan Wellar Lever My guess at the final order
  12. The other thing is that Roo is still there, if you were going to take a key forward, now would be the time so he can learn of Roo in real time on field, who knows how many years the great man can go on for but McCartin would greatly benefit from him I would have thought
  13. I think when it really comes down to it the Saints will pick McCartin, sets up a key part of their forward structure long term, every draft has good mids, not every draft has good key forwards
  14. Ahern and Duggan worth a serious look
  15. Would happily downgrade pick 3 for the Suns 9 and 15 to pick up Ahern and Duggan if possible, would be a great deal for both clubs I think
  16. and certainly the type of player we need, he will go into the middle hit the ball hard and win clearances, but he can go forward and kick multiple goals and is capable of almost playing as a key position player, I see him as a walk up start for our best 22
  17. Petracca is imo where stronger would have been without the broken leg
  18. I think Salem will be a good player but I think it will take at least 3 years to build up the tank of a midfielder, especially with the interchange cap it's going to take longer for young players
  19. I'd also add the two times Jimmy was dropped this year he had 16 disposals and a goal and the second time he had 18 touches, so he wasn't playing badly at all, Salem has been given a lot of chances, Jimmy has been a little bit stiff imo
  20. Petracca has been dominant all year and is a genuine match winner, something we haven't had for a long time, if we draft and develop this kid well I think he will be an absolute superstar
  21. I strongly believe if pick 1 isn't traded the Saints will find it difficult to pass up McCartin, so for mine, Petracca is pick 2 If we lose today i'd be very surpised if we don't draft him, if not I think picks 3 and 4 will be on the trade table
  22. I think Fitzy might hold some value to another side that is lacking in key forward targets and he wouldn't cost a fortune to attract, perhaps a team like Freo or the Bulldogs would consider Fitz if he was on the table
  23. I agree, I think Hogan is the best of them, because I think Hogan is the only one besides Cameron that could settle into CHB if we needed and become a quality defender, he has the speed and so on to play multiple roles where as Patton, Boyd and McCartin imo are more stay at home forwards
  24. Brayshaw is quite good on both sides and pretty handy in traffic, I reckon he's gunna be a good player and very consistent Petracca is more talanted but I think he's going to be a burst player Might be Nathan Jones vs Dustin Martin
