Farewell Jesse Hogan
It’s a funny one isn’t it? I’m sort of in the camp of being willing to accept slight unders for hogan to get May across the line because I think if he comes, we are a better chance of winning the 2019 premiership. I guess if the club were asking for pick 5 &23 for hogan or whatever of course you’d sacrifice pick 23 worst case scenario for a couple of % better chance at a flag next year

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I agree, I suppose that’s what’s I’m curious about because I think Oscar is probably a slightly better defensive option but if you wanted a bit more drive out of that position I’d lean towards frost

Curious dazzle assuming May slots in at full back, and lever is the third tall, who’s your starting CHB? Frost, McDonald, kielty, or petty or someone left field?

Who do you like in the draft Clint? Young smith or one of the king brothers?

Sam E reporting the dees are open to accepting only pick 5 in this trade....

It’s not a fair reading. That midfield was awful all year. The defender can’t do much when the ball comes in with no pressure all the time. I’m more concerned about his discipline issues. He would wanna pull his head in

That’s because you don’t know what you’re talking about. But that’s okay. I forgive you stuie ❤️

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yes, in fact I’m certain that’s the case. It’s not uncommon. Simon Goodwin has visited Kolo in the last week.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Pretty stressful time for Neale and Adams and he’s showing care because he’s a committed coach and a genuinely good bloke. I’m not surprised you didn’t understand that.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
They aren’t offering pick 11 for lobb.. they’re offering pick 11 for lobb and pick 25 pick 11 alone for lobb would be ridiculous.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Peter bell has proven he’s in over his head but imagine entering trade negotiations without knowing the kind of contract the player would be after. And the. Being surprised when the same star player was deemed worthy of two first rounders by the current club. I’m calling BS
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
How angry would people be if we just agreed to say pick 5 and pick 30 the outcome effectively being hogan for may & kolo I mean I think it’s worth accepting unders to increase our chances of the 2019 premiership at this point.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
What a crock.. how many million dollar players aren’t worth two first round selections... definitely a slow news week

Farewell Jesse Hogan
It is good to have you back stuie.

Deal. You’re giving Watson way to much credit.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Or they’re all just piggy backing off the original rumour and trying to look like they’re in the know. All have history in doing exactly that. Wait and see what happens by Wednesday. I’m getting jesse is wearing purple and May is a demon.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Well I know this for a fact. But I’ll go with a source you’re more likely to believe. Jay Clark reported it from jesses manager. Why would you bother chasing a player like Jesse if you didn’t plan on giving up a top 5 pick. I mean they’d have to be amazingly delusional to think we’d just give our most talented player away.

If you want further evidence of Fremantle being amateurs at the trade table under peter bell... look at their pursuit of Tim kelly. The guy who says he doesn’t want to go there. They needed to hold their nerve and jump in on the last day when things were tight to have any chance. Played that card wayyyyyy too early

Peter bell and Fremantle are right on the edge of turning the certain signing of a big fish into yet another missed opportunity all due to a breathtaking level of arrogance. If this falls through it will not only make Fremantle the laughing stock of the Comp, it will cause huge bad blood between Jesse and freo given freo promised to offer that pick 5 or 6 at the trade table and so far have back flipped on that.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
King brothers have significant go home factor interstate clubs are aware of and if drafted by an interstate club it will only be one confident of getting both of them to lessen that. Freo would be silly to draft an unproven king brother with go home factor with the same pick that could have locked up jesse hogan, a proven key forward and as you say set up their forward line for the next decade. Fremantle also won’t get him cheap next year, it will likely cost them a strong first round pick minimum to get a deal done, and they run the risk of Jesse deciding to stay or Another club like west coast getting involved with Kennedy another year older. The strategy you have proposed is full of risks for fremantle who could achieve a better outcome tomorrow if they’d pull their heads out of it and accept our very reasonable trade request

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Just a young man doing his due dilligence on a rival offer. Very common place and there are plenty of players who’d done this and gone back to the clubs they were at. There is nothing in the article that tells you he wants to be a demon or docker more.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
To add to this, Langdon has stayed with the pies, the suspicion was the pies needed him to go to get a trade over the line. I have no doubt the club will have considered the possibility of trying to sign may if the Jesse deal implodes further but I reckon you’re right and Tuesday the Neale deal will fall and set off a domino effect sending hogan to freo, May to us and pick 5 to the suns and we will get something else for hogan as well
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
I agree, and I get peter bell is trying to establish that he isn’t a push over or whatever but we have shown we are happy to pay slight overs or receive slight unders to get deals done quickly with no fuss 5&23 to me is slight unders but a fair win-win
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
What’s worse is jesses manager was told they were happy to use 5 or 6 on the deal by Fremantle and then they back flipped on it when negotiations started. Not a great way to do business but Brisbane and the giants are having as much trouble as us

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Trade radio last year mentioned freos pursuits multiple times, as well as dozens of articles, as well as the year before. I’m not sure how you’ve missed that. Not that it matters. It’s stupid to think he’s going there on a short term, low ball deal. Not in a million years minimum 5 years, minimum 900k.
