I actually think jye Caldwell is a chance to slide. Very talented kid but injury concerns at a young age may put some doubts in recruiters minds for the first round

It basically makes kade a free hit the way the trade played out. And this kid has absolute A grade talent and potential. I think a bit like Gus his confidence putting his head over it has taken a hit due to concussions but they’ll be able to support each other and I’m super confident it’ll be a bargain pick up for us.

If anything makes you feel proud about supporting this great club the way they’ve handled all that Jesse has been through since day one has been nothing short of amazing. His decision coming from the Melbourne side of this was extremely emotional and difficult for him simply due the enormous support he’s received! Devastated to see Jesse go but it’s also great that he’s finally back home with his family and hopefully smooth sailing from here and a great career for Jesse at the dockers

Absolutely and they’ll be concerned if they have nothing to sell guys like brayshaw, Cerra and co they will want out. This hogan deal is, and always was huge for them.

To be clear my point of view is if the deal looks like not getting done, we’d be better off in my opinion trading hogan for just pick 5 and getting May over the line. Our goal is winning a premiership in 2019 and in my opinion we are a better chance of doing that with Steven May than Jesse hogan on our list. I persobally would be comfortable accepting slight unders in that deal in order to get Steven May over the line this year. And Jesse has been through hell so I think it would be a good look to make sure he gets home, even slightly at our own expense. Obviously there is a time to play hard ball, but this may not be the right time if things get right. I may be completely wrong and we still get more than that, that’s just my opinion

I’m sort of in the camp of being willing to accept slight unders for hogan to get May across the line because I think if he comes, we are a better chance of winning the 2019 premiership. I guess if the club were asking for pick 5 &23 for hogan or whatever of course you’d sacrifice pick 23 worst case scenario for a couple of % better chance at a flag next year

I agree, I suppose that’s what’s I’m curious about because I think Oscar is probably a slightly better defensive option but if you wanted a bit more drive out of that position I’d lean towards frost
