  1. Tmac we know had been in talks, Watts has said he hasn't started talks and Jesse we know was having discussions before pressure built to sign on and he's put it off for now. Dom Tyson is the other one who is a pretty important re-signing.
  2. to be fair, Cripps season was outstanding! i think of the last 5 years he's been the second best behind Hogan
  3. I don't know, i wasn't as impressed with Weitering as most people seem to be, Moore is a gun, i think Oliver is right in the mix and i reckon Petracca will be as well
  4. I just love the sheer effort and hunger of the kid, he goes in 3 or 4 times at the contest every time, all day and tries to rip it away, and when he gets it has the pace to burst away I know alot are saying Voss or Black. but i really see more of Chris Judd,
  5. Jesse Hogan was also reasonable in his first full season, comprehensively beating the ALL Australian full back in his fourth game. i am expecting Petracca to be just as impressive as well when he gets out there! we're pretty blessed at the minute.
  6. parish is going to be a good player imo looks like Oliver will be as well
  7. People who have been so impressed with Brayshaw and Oliver will be stoked when Petracca gets out there, imo he is the best of the three.
  8. as good as our young list of mids is, Oliver could easily be the best of them.
  9. The beauty of the situation for me is i almost find myself forgetting we still have Brayshaw and Petracca to come back in as well, our young talent is as good as anyones these days
  10. He's going to have to work on his tackling to avoid the wrath of the MRP, but otherwise super impressed, i see him having a brayshaw like impact this year and playing a lot of games.
  11. I DGAF what number he wears as long as he keeps playing the way he is, he is a serious chance at rising star
  12. Sore back apparently, nothing serious, club isn't concerned and did a scan to be sure but they are taking no risks with it, did the same thing a few times last year, if he feels pain, he rests just to make sure he doesn't have any more issues.
  13. Unfortunately facts aren't things reporters rely on, even a quarter of a story is enough for them.
  14. Lol.. Hawthorn and Collingwood are bigger threats to us keeping Hogan, he won't go back to Perth imo
  15. Jesse could win the coleman this year, our midfield looks much deeper, big max is looking at a podium finish in terms of the comps ruckman and the entries should be much better, and i don't believe there is a defender in the comp who could consistently beat Jesse one on one already.
  16. I still believe firmly it's just his manager making sure he doesn't rush anything, by all accounts Jesse loves the club and is loyal to it, but his manager is just saying, settle down and see how this year plays out, 10 wins or more i think will see Jesse sign on before the start of 2017, ultimately i think he's ours to lose though
  17. Granted losing Pav and Sandilands is going to free up some money.
  18. And they're going to get Mcarthey as well
  19. we had to hire the best available successor for Roosy an i believe that was Goodwin, he could easily have been a senior coach elsewhere at this point, clearly extremely highly rated within the industry and i think he will add a very good attacking side to our game.
  20. I really liked the change of attitude, it's not about sticking with opposition any more, it's about attacking them, and it starts at the contest.
  21. Pretty important decision, i reckon he is well within his rights to not be certain.
  22. seen both play, granted not at AFL level but the doubts I had on Oliver have been settled in my mind, so I have no reason to think it wasn't the right call.
  23. Really excited to see Clayton get a run, very happy to eat some humble pie and admit i think we made the right call choosing him over Parish.
  24. they have their hands full with Hooker and Macarthey
  25. The situation isn't anything like Howe last year, Jesse has been in talks for a while now and to the point numbers and years are a part of it, he's been shown a vision of the future, i am firmly of the belief, Jesse has an offer on the table and he and his manager simply want to see improvement before he signs away the next 5-7 years of his career, which is absolutely fair enough just watch him train and you'll see he's totally invested in the club, he wants to be part of it. Putting talks on hold is simply to quiet the speculation of Jesse signing in the very near future so he can make a calm and calculated decision in his own time, but i have no doubt he will sign on.
