He really wasnt that bad today. I'll assess. First Half: was not good, he was quite soft and looked very timid and nervous. Second Half: as the game went on, he fought his way through the game and started to dispose of the ball quite well.. Jack Needs the time at AFL level and needs to hit some serious confidence. Jack used the ball fairly decently but was a tad weak and i am having faith that with the teams small bit of confidence, Jack can find some confidence.

also Nathan Jones, was great today

6. Grimes- He was outstanding today, racked em up. 5. Brynes- Stood up when we were down, had a good game. 4. Trengove- was a machine today, going to be fully fit soon. 3. Sylvia- was a highlight to watch Col play well 2. Howe- dominated, plain and simple 1. Evans- won us the game. special mention, Colin Garland

If we are all clear we can put this rubbish behind us and focus on trying to perform where it counts, the field

Although well be hammered by the media, stay strong. Col seemed chilled about it, so lets be chilled. Go dees on sunday. He was pretty excited for the potential win on sunday.. you could see it in his eyes.

He was in the supplements (protein shakes isle) hahaha. But he was quite adamant that Melbourne were clean, although i know he cant give away much.. he seemed real genuine and honest.

He is lightning quick and was highlight to watch on the weekend. Hopefully he becomes a regular, seems to me as a better version of Sam Blease

Saw Col tonight at Coles and had quite a long chat to him. He said that Dank is a crap stirrer and that he doesnt think any repercussions will be handed to Melbourne. He told me although it's abit of a worry for supporters, dont read into it too much as we did nothing illegal.

Jack Trengove is not a tagger, he just needed to be aware on the damage his direct opponent can do. Trengove is going to be normal midfielder, not a tagger

I agree and honestly say that i forgot about him. His kick is a highlight, he takes the game on and i think we have a serious future player in our team.

I think Howe has held his own and been good. Clark just getting better. Viney and Matt Jones have been terrific to watch so far

ok, well firstly, last year Trengove had to change his game. Jack had to develop a defensive element in his game and he did that. Jack is a star of the future in my opinion and is a highlight to watch. Although overall last year wasnt great, i believe he developed an essential element in his game. I have accepted Sylvia will never be what we want him to be, hell only show glimpses. This is true, but i dont think Dunn is going to be a good Melbourne player. Sylvia can be unstoppable but as i said, we need to stop dreaming. Blease has only showed glimpses and i am not convinced. I think that someone that can have a huge impact and you havent put him down is Matt Jones, the guy is holding his own and in some cases has been just as good as Viney.

Naive to think that Geelong would trade Duncan or Christensen. The kids are guns, future stars

My opinion is that: If Jack Trengove makes the next step (Saturday was a good start) and shows exactly how much better the Scully he really is. If Jack Grimes hits the level of superstar, which in my opinion he is one level below and Jack Watts shows what he is made of.. Melbourne will be a half decent team. Obviously it is completely impossible to make finals, but if Melbourne's young stars stood up, Melbourne would win a fair few extra games and be middle order. The difference between what happened in the second half of Saturday and the first half replicating is a few boys standing up.
