i dont think we could go backwards, but i definitely think that we could stay at the incredibly low level we are at now,. in my opinion we only won one game for the year, as i find the games against the franchise teams insignificant. he is a champion of the game, just like Matthew Lloyd. I am not saying he was as good as boomer, but he is still a champion never the less. Barassi, Witten, Skilton, Bartlett and Matthews, you cannot compare neitz to them, different era's.

are you serious? Flower might be, i never got to see him play, i'm not passing judgement. Neitz is very easily a champion of the game. I think that if he had left the game on a high, not with injuries, people would think differently of him. I personally find it a disgrace that people especially Melbourne supporters dont think he is a great of the game. He was a star, and a true champion

David Neitz is a CERTAIN champion of the game. The fact that he played 300 games and broke every record Melbourne has says enough. Enough said.

i agree, but if thats how you feel, that doesnt justify selection for Melbourne or any AFL side. As we are builing to something potentially big, it is important there are no duds in the team.

i think that Jack Trengove will have a very good season next year, especially with a little bit more support. In the good season i am expecting 4-5 blinder games hopefully, where he turns the game, as i would imagine he has the capabilities to do. I know it might be a crazy expectation, but i seriously think Trenners is a future star and iv got the feeling the 4th season could be a mini breakout

Everyone on here who says that we are pathetic and Neeld is going knowhere, has a point. Everyone on here who says that they love how Neeld is going about it, also has a point and thats fair. Only time will tell what will be the end result of Neeld's grand plan. Although it seems to be crystal clear and quite logical, we do not know what our players will produce and that is something that will give doubt into our minds, as all us Melbourne supporters have seen nothing but disgraceful rubbish for the years on end. Picking up experienced or middle aged talls is a certain tactic, so is getting young gun midfielders with an older supporting cast is also a certain tactic. No one knows if itll work for the MFC, lets hope..

i absolutely agree, but you do have to put it into perspective. The state of the list he was left with was bloody disgraceful. He did need to fix it, he bought in Mitch. Sellar (who showed improvement) put faith in Tmac, got Watts to produce throughout the middle of the year. Jones had a terrific year. He has his own plan, but this one looks like a real one, not a youth one

We were considered as finals contenders in 2011. Did'nt happen, but if it had happened, Bailey would still be coach. We wouldnt have Toumpas, Dawes, Pederson, Brynes. Moloney and Morton would still be on the list, Bate would be in best 22, Newton would be on the fringe of making the team. As much as im saddened by the past 2 years, its a new breed, a tough one. Hopefully this one has premiership potential.

am i a bad person. I just want to see Melbourne physically batter other teams, i want to be a dirty team. I want us to be rough, add extra to tackles. We have been a soft team the whole time, we need grunt, anger. I love Tappy and what he did queens birthday highlighted he is a grunt player. I dont want too see us hurting people, just grunt players.
