  1. If Shannon Brynes is out i would be pretty happy. Pedo got killed by Kosi. Spencer will be suspended Fitspatrick was shocking In: Frawley Jamar Magner Jetta WHEN IS VINEY AND GRIMES COMING BACK!!!! ITS KILLING ME
  2. In: Chippa, Magner, Jetta, Mckenzie Out: Spencer (susp), Pedo, Dunn, next worst player reason to bring in smalls against dogs is to match them with there running abilities. or we can leave dunn in to tag Brett Goodes and do a forward tag. Goodes gets alot of cheap ball and we could damage his output on the game Mckenzie- Tag Griffen or Magner to tag him
  3. Trengove wasnt terrific today but it's impossible for his disposal count to go up when we: A. Barely get the ball B. No one delivers it to him, because he is not a rover he's an outside player, always was , always will be. Watts; Probably in our top 3 or 4 players. DONT YOU DARE BAG WATT'S PERFORMANCE TODAY. Last 2 weeks has shown more than something
  4. 6- Garland (absolutely fantastic today, was really impressed) 5. Nathan Jones (always gives his absolute best) 4. Jack Watts (best game for year, looked really dangerous. Imagine what he'd be like with Clark, Hogan, Dawes and Howe.. :) ) 3. Sylvia (28 possies, cant go past him) 2. Terlich, love his attack on the footy 1. Toump, very good but looked slow at times honourable mentions: All umpires involved in that game (made sure Golden Boy Riewoldt kicked some goals today)
  5. possibly the most powerful "interview" i have heard
  6. with bomber thompson it is because we will chase him if Roos wont go to Melbourne
  7. BOMBER THOMPSON WILL NEVER COACH MELBOURNE, LET ALONE ANYONE AGAIN. Get that in your head, im not trying to be aggressive, but throwing up coaches names that have no interest is just silly. The prime candidates that will be interested in the job or targeted by Melbourne will be most likely: Craig (interested in the job) Roos (we will target him) Aryes (might be interested in the job) Eade (we should target him and he'd be interested ) Mathews (we will target him) Choco Williams (we might chase him) Knights (he's go no shot but he'll apply) Sheedy (could be an outside option, but wont coach) AGAIN CLARKSON HAS SAID HE IS NOT INTERESTED, SO STOP THROWING HIS NAME UP IN THE AIR. thank you all i am sick of reading candidates that have ruled themselves out categorically
  8. Obviously at the moment we are in a dark period at MFC, But there are some serious upsides e.g. Jesse Hogan, development of young guns, Number 2 pick this year, potential new gun coach. But as a footy club what we need to focus on is the next 11 rounds, in my opinion they are do or die. The current list need to show they are worth a cracker and come out to play some real footy. go dees
  9. Jamar is a fantastic hitout ruckman, but doesnt have good players to hit to. Moloney was amazingly instinctive of reading hitouts of the ruckmans hands, we just dont have that. Viney could become one of them
  10. associating Hitler with someone as harmless as Neeld is disgraceful
  11. You know it's funny you say that. I reckon the culture has seriously improved.. Maybe under Neeldy next year well improve. Especially with another pre season under certain players. Im not saying he should stay, but it's a very interesting theory
  12. Jones Captain outright. Grimes and Dawes: Co Vice Captains exntended leadership group: Frawley Trengove Garland Clark You cannot demote Trengove out of the leadership group, it's unfair he's not that bad
  13. Ill admit if we were to get a priorty pick it would be tempting to take him. But we need to look an one more midfielder and not an outside midfielder like Toumpas. Another Jack Viney, Ollie Wines, someone who is inside and wins the hard footy because in that area of the midfield we are lacking it. As much as i really love Sylvia and Trengove they are not good enough (trengove might be in the future) to be in the centre of the ground and go head to head with Pendles, Swanny, Gazza, Boyd in clearances.
  14. That article was actually pretty spot on.. Although i still love Sylvia
  15. Trengove, Toumpas, Viney, N & M Jones delivering it to Hogan excites me
  16. Melbourne: Neitz by a mile, Robbo not far off AFL; Ablett Jnr, Ben Cousins when fit
  17. So happy to see that. As long as people dont say "Watts linked with Essendon" because he met with Jobe.
  18. this is really what people may have said honestly. 1 Matthew Warnock- Not great, but did the job 2 Nathan Jones- very good 3 Clint Bartram- solid defender and a great vice captain 4 Jack Watts- promising 5 Jordan Gysberts- everyone had high hopes for this guy. 6 Matthew Bate- actually had a good 2010 and was supposed to be ok 7 Jamie Bennell- not great 8 James Frawley- gun 9 Jack Trengove-gun 10 Cale Morton-wasnt that bad in 2010 got gradually worse though 12 Colin Sylvia- gun 13 Jordie McKenzie- developing as a tagger 14 Lynden Dunn ?? sshh 15 Ricky Petterd supposed to be good 16 Jack Grimes 18 Brad Green (c)- probably best on list 19 Addam Maric ?? shakes head 20 Colin Garland- good player 21 Lucas Cook ?? what happened here? we never played him 22 Brent Moloney (vc) had an amazing year 24 Liam Jurrah gun 27 Jared Rivers (vc) 28 Joel Macdonald ?? 31 Tom Scully we had no control 33 Austin Wonaeamirri ?? not fit enough. I think it was rhino who was the first to start snorting he's over weight. 34 Stefan Martin we tried and so did he 35 Luke Tapscott young developing 36 Aaron Davey (vc) rubbish 37 Max Gawn young 38 Jeremy Howe could already see how exciting he wad becoming 39 Neville Jetta- 40 Mark Jamar- gun 41 Troy Davis 42 Jake Spencer 43 Tom McDonald 44 Rohan Bail 46 Sam Blease 47 James Strauss 48 Jack Fitzpatrick 26 Robert Campbell ?? 29 Michael Newton ?? 30 Tom McNamara ?? 45 Kelvin Lawrence ?? 49 Daniel Nicholson 50 Michael Evans 52 Cameron Johnston ?? holes everywhere, nowhere near good enough for anything, but there was some experience on that list... but little class, & less hardness. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Melbourne_Football_Club_season#Squad_for_2011_season
  19. Hahaha what a joke, although the finish to 2011 wasnt great. Everyone was so positive that 2012 would be the big jump up. New coach, new staff and Mitch Clark. So transparent some people are
  20. dont you ever put neitz and dawes in the same sentence again, thank you.
  21. I am referring to 2011 and that i saw a serious future for Melbourne with that. Well it was, if you look at the talent there and the bonus of Mitch Clark. Do not tell me you didnt sit there saying we are gonna have a crack this year. Because that would just be damn straight lying. We all thought 2012 was going to be a huge year with great things. Get off your high horse and admit it
  22. Nah, he actually loves Melbourne. Hell stay i reckon
  23. without Jones, i dont know how id walk away from the footy each week with a positive spirit. Because what i say to my dad is each week "atleast Jones played well" jeepers
