My take is.. At the start of 2012 i thought Melbourne were in really good shape and could seriously start doing some damage in the AFL. Since than, we have seen one game where from start to finish we have dominated. (GWS 2012). In 2011 we did that more than 3 times. From 2011 to 2012 our list barely changed, infact it got stronger, so clearly what was being done was wrong. It is my belief that Mark Neeld is the reason why Melbourne is suffering, his tactics and coaching has been an absolute cancer to the club. He has not only made the fans suffer but he has made the players suffer. Clearly something is wrong when Brent Moloney wants out, a guy that would absolutely die for the club. His recruiting has been interesting, i like the fact we now have Dawes and Clark. The drafting has been very promising also. It is of my belief though, it is Neeld NOT THE PLAYERS. Although the players are somewhat to blame, they are not the problem. Clearly the game plan Neeld has adopted is absolute rubbish considering he loves the defensive side of the game. Than why the hell do we concede 100 points each week????? And yes, i understand we are inexperienced, but for a team with such talent and skill, how do we look like we lack skill every week? it just doesnt make any sense to me. What is also annoying is currently we have Colin Sylvia (SUSPENDED), Jack Grimes, Mitch Clark, soon to be James Frawley, Jack Viney, Jimmy Toumpas, Barely Watts this year and half fit Trengove. It's just hard playing with half a list each week. My take is that we should bring in a coach who is serious about getting wins with the list we have, not just the future. Because do you want to know something, if you the players get enough wins and some confidence, the future will be real. Rather than planning for a future that never comes, because players hate losing and will just eventually leave. Keep Peter Jackson and for god sake spend some money on a midfielder this year and free agency PLEASE go dees

Selfish Mark Neeld Just Resign Already!!!!!!
Grimseyisgod replied to Dee1987's topic in Melbourne Demons
If he resigns he gets no pay off and walks away without any settlement. If he gets fired he gets a full pay off and walks away with good money. He'd be a complete dummy to resign. -
This doesnt even make sense. Sylvia could never captain anything except himself

"Dee" List to take with us into 2014
Grimseyisgod replied to [email protected]'s topic in Melbourne Demons
Watts-just hit 50 odd. Scully- left Gysberts- never even hit 40 morton- utter rubbish wherever he goes pettard- isnt so experienced. Mclean- only in the past year has excelled in his career. Very much been a struggler. Sylvia- been a good servant for the club and i will fight tooth and nail for him. Bate- butter fingers Dunn- i like Dunny Bell- hahaahahaahhaahahha so there are explanations for this -
the fact that he hasnt included Trengove in that list shows how people feel about our co captain. I know Jack will be a gem but his form needs to improve because at the moment he deserves the crap he gets. Yesterday was good, but not good enough

"Dee" List to take with us into 2014
Grimseyisgod replied to [email protected]'s topic in Melbourne Demons
I know i shouldnt be confident about 2014. I know i shouldnt feel as if Melbourne can become a powerhouse. But i just get the feeling it's going to click, whether it be with our without Neeld. Eventually these players will get more experience such as Viney, Toumpas, Evans, Gawn, Tmac, Trengove and Grimes, Watts, Terlich, Matt Jones. and the big JESSE HOGAN!!! When these players hit 40-80 games it's going to click and click big time. This is why it's also important to stick with your list and include the older players such as Sylvia, N Jones, Davey, Joel Mac, Jamar, Garland, Frawley, Brynes and Rodan. With an older core we could see some of these younger boys can flourish and who knows maybe we could land a big recruit from another club. GO DEES -
HOGGGANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!! WHAT A SUPERSTAR
-
Daniher seems to have a breathtaking mark. but Hogan to me seems abit more explosive? anyone agree with that?
-
It seems to me that both clubs have man made mountains. At the moment id say both are pretty similar to each other but the great thing about Melbourne's Hogan is that he is only 17 where as Daniher is a year to his age. I am predicting both to have long and fulfilling careers but who do you reckon is better and why? personally my tip is Hogan, but that could be me.. having faith in our 17 year old god
-
i dont get why anyone would want to go to Stkilda. They are gonna be major losers in time to come. Theyll be down the bottom for atleast 3-5 years
-
I just want him and Sylvia to re-sign and ill be happy. Dont really mind what happens with Davey
-
what about Scott Thompson from Adelaide, absolute gem
-
the guy comes from a culture that certainly doesnt embrace losing. He is a breath of fresh air. Him and Viney are two players who can single handedly save us.. because you know what they have in common.. THEY LOATH LOSING
-
In my opinion is one of the worst players to ever get a game for Melbourne. Rivals Michael Newton
-
go dees! wont be there today (just the second game missed for the year).. but pull ya fingers out and rip up the tigers! up the dees!
-
how did Jesse Hogan play????
-
would Watts have taken that mark.. NO
-
well than i have to accept that. But alot of people are saying on here anyway that he should go and they dont care, and he's been useless. If he does not want to stay thats acceptable.. but thats not my point We will not be better without him, not at all. his replacement will be rubbish... Than you lose out on someone who has won us matches.. probably to be replaced by someone who's done sweet FA
-
some of you guys are disgusting. We have next to no experienced players worth a cracker in our team and you're ready to just let him walk. Some of the crap you guys say about him really makes me wonder why we have such a crappy culture at MFC.. The guy tries hard for Melbourne and i honestly believe he is clicking, finally. If he isnt around Melbourne will have trully lost a player who has much more give, look at the glass half full.. let him fill the glass in the next 4-6 years. I say fight tooth and nail for him. You cannot honestly tell me you'd rather replace Colin with someone like Tom Couch or Magner. That is not something i would be willing to do
-
that's not the point. The point is i dont care what you all say Colin has been a good servant to the club, he may not have yet lived up to his potential but currently is enjoying his best patch of form he's ever had to endure. The is abit of disipline about the way he plays now. Now... Jack Grimes, Jack Watts, Jack Trengove, Jack Viney, Jimmy Toumpas and Jeremy Howe... maybe all have more natural talent than Big Col... but he would combine better after the J Squad have played more games
-
who else here thinks that Melbourne will come out fired up against the Tigers and maybe snatch a win. I think that the players may come out with a burning red hot desire to crunch every single Richmond player at every opportunity. I just have this inkling feeling. Or we will lose by 100.. But im getting a good vibe, im telling ya.. Go Dees! i will be there on sunday cheering as loud as i ever have

Dylan Shiel* Liam Sheils plays for Hawks mate

What will we do with our pick this year
Grimseyisgod replied to Grimseyisgod's topic in Melbourne Demons
Robinson would die for Carlton and never ever come to Melbourne. Also i dont want him, the guy has a bad smell about him. Either Franklin, Thomas or a star midfielder
