  1. This is a good analysis and I think also draws discussion that older, more experienced lists should by virtue of age and experience have more depth to cover for injuries and players returning from injury.
  2. Saty, I appreciate your training reports and contribution to Demonland but I don't agree with potting supporters who have had enough. I really hope that our supporters renew, and that more than 70% on here plan to is a real positive, but I respect those who don't plan to renew and hope that after a break from the emotional torture of this year they decide (foolishly or not) to give another roll of the dice. To borrow the words of Max Gawn, you cannot win a premiership in the offseason but you can certianly lose one, the same applies to our supporter base who are important to achieving success and being a strong club.
  3. I'm definitely going to renew my membership along with our 3 kids. Might even sign the wife up. While I can understand the anger and disappointment, which as a member I share too, I genuinely believe we can bounce back next season and be in contention and every membership and supporter attending games will help. I urge fellow supporters to sign up and signup early as a show of support fr the club - dedicated demon is a good auto renew option. Dees!
  4. Clarry has had a pretty ordinary season and while he tackles and gets lots of the ball he gets rid of the ball too quickly and often to a teammate under pressure. Difficult to tell how much is due to his game v our system breaking down.
  5. ET the problem I see is that he cared about recieving the ball more than a teammate having a set shot at goal. Not a big deal but shows the pressure the players are under and probably a bit of self preservation.
  6. I would have liked for Jones to have wrestled Oliver to the ground.
  7. Listened to Pert on the Inside Melbourne podcast and he come across as pragmatic and assured. Despite the disaster that 2019 has been our club has managed the fall out well and looks to have a clear plan for turning things around in the off season.this goes for Goody as well who is clearly under alot of pressure but working hard to turn things around. I certainly think we are capable of turning 2020 into a successful year if the players/coaches/admin all do their bit and supporters get along to games.
  8. I understand the apprehension but were not going to improve by doing same, same so lets try something out of the box. Izzy is too good to be lost to sport forever.
  9. So apparently Izzy Folau has had a falling out eith Rugby Australia and won't be donning the green and gold for the world cup. World class, professional athlete who has played the game with some success (GWS) and could bring him on as a category B rookie, so won't cost much. Sure he has some pretty strange beliefs such as everyone going to hell and that it's ok to keep slaves so pong as they are foreign, but these minor 'quirks' may even help galvanise the playing group. Thoughts?
  10. Is 'led to believe' a fancy way of saying I'm going to throw an idea out there and see if it gains traction?
  11. What about Hirdy, he's too good to be lost to football.
  12. We trump them with shortest team in AFL.
  13. Start well in the first 6-8 rounds next year and all will be forgiven.
  14. I'd like to see rather than home v away a tally based on Selwood/no-Selwood playing.
  15. People need to stop living in the past. While I admire people who have supported the club for a long time the last time we won a premiership is not relevant to the coaches and players.
  16. And so he [censored] well should back us in. To all the [censored] on here who bemoan how bad we have been this season, get over yourselves and get back on board. Dees!
  17. I certianly wouldn't be flying down to tassie for round 23.
  18. Surely after all the club has been thrpugh you can see the funny side to this. Lighten up, this is a pretty funny topic.
  19. I can live with being near the bottom of the ladder as long as Carlton and Essendon are there with us. I think we will play off in a GF with Carlton in the next couple of years.
  20. He proved in finals last year that he still has what he had pre foot injury. That he's gotten through this season thus far bodes well for next year.
  21. I'm wondering if Craig Jennings is the sort of bloke to eat fava beans and drink Chianti and have a walk in meat freezer in his home.
  22. It's easy to forget how dominant Viney has been in big games over the past few seasons. Our big win over WCE where TMac kicked winning goal right before siren and even the finals last year. He will be better for this year and I reckon he will dominate next year.
