  1. I can live with being near the bottom of the ladder as long as Carlton and Essendon are there with us. I think we will play off in a GF with Carlton in the next couple of years.

He proved in finals last year that he still has what he had pre foot injury. That he's gotten through this season thus far bodes well for next year.
  3. I'm wondering if Craig Jennings is the sort of bloke to eat fava beans and drink Chianti and have a walk in meat freezer in his home.

It's easy to forget how dominant Viney has been in big games over the past few seasons. Our big win over WCE where TMac kicked winning goal right before siren and even the finals last year. He will be better for this year and I reckon he will dominate next year.
  5. Sounds credible. I wish I had "good mates" who described me in that manner.
  6. If you were a fish you would be carp
  7. I challenge your assertion that Goodwin is stubborn and out of his depth. Unless you are in the club you have no idea what he is like.

    Gawn tagging Grundy
  9. Nice post dieter, if that is your real name. The anger on here in the last couple of weeks makes me laugh. I take the view that it's generally not as good or bad as it seems.

Hawthorn can have its pokies and feast off the souls of the less fortunate and we can have our draft picks.
  11. Our camp didn't feature doing Voodoo on our indigenous players like the Adelaide camp

Not until finals are absolutely ruled out.

I'm for winning as much as the next person but these are junk time games and we've come this far, justs couple more games. I'm not saying we get smashed like EFC or North but switch a couple of magnets around, e.g. O-mac forward, and play loose on their most damaging player. When losing is the only way to win its not losing it is the way.

Draft picks mean more than junk time wins in a season that is cooked. If you don't feature in September the next best thing is to have first dibs in the draft.

Good post Don Cornder, we need to hold our nerve, the zulu's are coming, lets not F this up. I'm confident we won't do anything silly and win more than one of our next two.

Yes however that ignores the notion that we'd ruin any of those players by their second season.

Ridiculous suggestion, that doesn't even fit the narrative that Goodwin is stubborn and cannot coach.

Last year I'd forgotten about the joy to be had celebrating other teams misery. Kind of like when you're out and someone elses kids behave worse than yours.

We need to go after Ben Brown to sort out our goal kicking woes

They are marginally ahead of the Malthouse crop of Watters, someone and Neeld.
  23. Lets play backs mid, forwards back and mids forward. Gawn to rove Spargo's taps.
  24. Petty is an angry man. This kid has something.
  25. I feel alot more comfortable with Hore rather than Lever as our third tall. This said you don't play someone like Lever in the VFL for more than a week or two and will be better for the run.
