10 mins into 3rd quarter Freo 10 points up on GWS Go Dees !!!
-
you are right of course but hell it would have been so much more pleasant to start the last quarter a few goals up. Oh the life of a Melbourne supporter
-
Hope not......... The time for a broken collarbone to fully heal depends on the severity of the injury. In children, complete healing may take as little as three to six weeks. In adults, six to 16 weeks or more are often necessary for a collarbone to heal solidly.

3 goals in 4 minutes to North.... how do we do this !!
-
seven minutes played and one behind to North is the only score.......... keep it up Dees
-
GWS v Freo tantalisingly close near half time.... Could this be a special afternoon ??
-
need to push them wide as they come into the fifty and thus limit the scoring from a percentage viewpoint. Need Watts to play back centre corridor and just clog up the space. Even if he doesn't get a kick he will do his job if they are forced wide.
-
Stating the obvious.... outscore them this quarter and the game is ours. Go Dees
-
love it !!!!!!!!!
-
and one more please before half time
-
understandable ... really North is a team we should beat easily if we're going anywhere
-
Come on 10 minutes of this quarter to go and we are still a goal down ... need to go int0 half time in front !! Edit .... even now... another 4or 5 would be nice
-
Is this going to the Carlton game of 2016 all over again. They are 17th ... have nothing to play for ... we all know the story
-
we really should be playing an extra tall in defence when they have the wind... Watts or T Mac or even Hogan
-
half way through the quarter and oppo score is minimised.... we need to hold for another 15 mins
-
according to BOM site winds in Hobart presently at 40kph gusting to 60kph that's serious wind http://www.bom.gov.au/tas/observations/hobart.shtml?ref=hdr

watching on Oz plus in Asia which is 5 mins behind.. so please forgive Hawks have had a draw so percentage is not that relevant to them... who knows.. they have a relatively easy run home
-
The hawks will rue that third quarter. So many shots on goal. Admittedly they were all from hard spots but no cigars. Looks like the Swans march on.... 10 wins from 11 games or similar ,,,,, sickening

the peanut man was legendary.... he carried the peanuts in a big hessian bag on his back like Santa Claus. The peanuts (in shells) were packed in paper bags. His call was ... "peanuts .. shilling a bag..peanuts" How he got into grounds was always a mystery as he wasn't an authorised seller ....... as you say life was simpler back then I had a job selling sweets and drinks .. hard work humping those trays around on your back for not much money
-
nah if Richmond don't get ninth then it would be great for the Hawks to finish 9th and lessen the Saints draft pick. Can't see it happening as the Swans are playing very well at present..... unfortunately

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 19
Diamond_Jim replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Like your thinking Pates. Our earlier loss this season to North was a real let down and it is really time to put this losing streak to the sword. Hopefully Garlett continues his good form and even better goals with some of those kicks he just missed last week. Watching the replay he could have had a 6-7 goal game easily. -
Understood .. might just have to get used to another Americanism .... you are right though ... in the posts themselves as against the quoted posts the date is shown in the usual format Good luck and as I said it's a very small point .... Great job
-
thanks ... looked in my profile but nothing was obvious. Here is a link to a page in another thread. The second last post quotes "bandicoot's posting of 7/26/2017" on my screen http://demonland.com/forums/topic/42313-looking-ahead-the-path-to-september/?page=14&tab=comments#comment-1443687

what can one say.... other than WOW what will they think of next in this wonderful interactive world
-
Small thing but I notice we have the American date system with the month before the day. My mind is fuzzy but I don't think that was the case with the old software Just to clarify the date is the one which appears when you quote a posting over 24 hours old cheers
