2020 AFL Fixture
Ever seen a sporting sponsorship contract?? I can assure you they have several triggers and ratings in key cities is a common one

2020 AFL Fixture
Didn't say "crowds" said finances..... Thursday night game and possibly second Friday game splits the viewing audience that sponsors pay for.
-
2020 AFL Fixture
apparently there's a make up Monday holiday in WA for Anzac day. Could it be a twilight derby? On reflection...it wont be a derby but it will be a 5pm Perth game back into Melbourne against a Melbourne club WC v Carlton perhaps

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Wonderful reply RM. With four clubs expressing interest it could be who blinks first.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
so to clarify... he goes into a draft and states his salary and length of term? What and when is the draft and what pick do we hold? Does this preclude us from taking Murray and Martin? Why didn't we trade pick 125 or similar for Murray?

2020 AFL Fixture
Waiting for the backlash over the solitary game on Anzac day given it's a Saturday. Probably means there will be a Thursday game and maybe two Friday night games including ours. Not great for the MFC finances or sponsors

2019 Player Reviews: #39 Neville Jetta
The form of both Hibberd and Jetta is important going forward. Having best 22 players at and past 30 is something that MFC does not often enjoy. It is essential to good list management.

their reward for going to shanghai perhaps poor guys

Such a disappointing outcome for a young man.

2020 AFL Fixture
Some don't get how irrelevant we are. Having spent many years in the corporate world it was difficult to get guests to come to the corporate box if Melbourne were playing. We used to make it family day for the staff and even then there were often no takers. Judging by the number of boxes that I still see closed for a mid level MFC match it hasn't changed much. MCC as RN has reported is far from an MFC bastion and becomes increasingly less so by the year.

Raft of Changes Coming to VFL
plus a season of AFL length. Our VFL listed players had their first Casey match after the AFL team had completed three rounds.
-
2019 Player Reviews: #33 Oskar Baker
Fritsch never played as an MFC listed player at Casey so technically there are none as I mentioned. Lockhart the same FWIW. You could say its drafting but Casey is starting to look like a black hole for MFC draftees.

Raft of Changes Coming to VFL
A squeeze on the VFL has been mooted for some time. The AFL will spin it as protecting the non aligned clubs from financial difficulty but in reality it's just not a priority or the AFL. Pity it could be decent comp if properly run and promoted.

2019 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch
It started in 2018. Can't remember when. He was the fall guy for Gunston's 3 goals 8 in the finals

2019 Player Reviews: #33 Oskar Baker
The posts were all very favourable so just tempering it with reality. From what I have witnessed over 2 years nothing special and no reason to think he will definitely make it as other posters have predicted. I may be wrong but ultimately I think he will be just another depth player. Name me the last best 22 player to come out of Casey MFC players.

2019 Player Reviews: #33 Oskar Baker
Another for whom 2020 will be an important year. Not sure whether he will make it
-
2019 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch
Played down back by Goodwin and then dropped from a winning side for the prelim. Goodwin is a master tactician as we all well know
-
2019 Player Reviews: #28 Oscar McDonald
Zac Dawson played to the team gameplan and did it very well. His job was simple... beat the forward... bring the ball to ground and give off to the designated runner. You don't play a 100 games unless you have something going for you.
- 2020 depth players

Like that

2020 depth players
Melksham??? Depth Miles in front of Hunt for example The remaining list shows how shallow we are. Jones and possibly Sparrow aside none of the remainder have shown signs of pushing for a best 22 spot short of injuries. Time for a good look at how MFC players are being developed at Casey. It's not just about winning games because you have some strong Casey listed players.

Gotta move with times Dee S. MFC could benefit from a few influencers. Hell the Saudis just hired a bundle of them to plug the new tourist visas to Saudi which could be an even harder sell than the MFC

2019 Player Reviews: #29 Jayden Hunt
Jayden's gamestyle does not go well with the modern high possession game. As a forward he is a stop gap for players like Melksham when injured. Another project for the coaching team to work out how to leverage his skills. Perhaps something as revolutionary as leaving a fast forward around the 80metre line so Hunt can kick to space for the forward to run onto.

2020 Assistant Coach Prospects: The Next Batch
May be as simple as him not being on the payroll as yet. The coaches have a common sign on/sign off date which is around now as I understand it. The ones who moved on would have been paid out to that date one assumes. Soft salary caps and our financial position may preclude early sign ons. Then again it could just be an oversight.

Out of Contract Players 2020
other than Petracca and Viney they're not exactly household names. The aforementioned and Fritsch aside unless forced to would you offer any of them more than a year if you were signing them up today? In reality many will get two years simply because you cannot turn them all over.
