  1. more concerned about the absence of Chandler and Bedford from this evening. They along with Lockhart are perhaps the interviewees for the seniors As to the key forwards.. remember we don't have much midfield at Casey so........
  2. not many understand what the modern VFL is all about It's a training session with simualted match conditions GWS are playing top up players and we are ... well I hope we know what we are doing. On a sunny day it's a lovely watch.. when it's 4 degrees dark and an hour minimum drive home I'll get back to a decent movie
  3. we did give him a five year contract only last year.
  4. Port doing well against Hawks mmmmmmmmmmm
  5. 5 places in one week could be a new record... ? A Hawthorn win would be great
  6. Couldn't find a reference on Casey radio but they may cover it https://www.caseyradio.com.au/
  7. In: Brown and possibly Melksham Out: Don't care we need to score and create forward pressure
  8. Accuracy is rarely our strong point
  9. This team is starting to remind me of the usual MFC lost at selection table. All the talk of defensive forwards is nice but you need to score to win
  10. Maximum... yes maximum of 10 degrees Melbourne area Partly cloudy. High (70%) chance of showers about eastern suburbs, grading to a medium (50%) chance in the west. Showers developing from late morning, becoming most likely in the afternoon. Possible hail. Snow possible above 700 metres. The chance of a thunderstorm during this afternoon and evening. Winds northerly 20 to 30 km/h.
  11. yes unfortunately. I think we also gave Freo their first win
  12. yep thought we had a game for a while 10 (sorry 8) goal turnaraound in one quarter plus about two minutes Back to some old TV shows for me I'll check again at 3/4 time. Perhaps that was the Cats only quarter
  13. nice try... why not Many gentlemen farmers in Red Hill not to mention some pricey horse studs The surf at Phillip Island is pretty wild from what I hear TBH if you said that Casey would be the permanent training/admin base in say 5 years I doubt that there would be a handful of presentplayers/ staff who would be impacted. Gives the newcomers certainty.
  14. not at present. You can go to SA but you have to test and isolate until negative result on arrival and then for 14 days you are not allowed to go to any public events (more than 1000 attendees) Could change by game time... who knows these days https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/restrictions-and-responsibilities/travel-restrictions#vic
  15. only around 9k at Richmond's game last night Shame that the weather is starting to turn nasty.
  16. Will be interesting to see the various vaccination levels required for the four phase plan. The phases are logical but I worry that we may not meet the vax targets. If that happens some tough love may be required. Assuming the first phase which we are now in goes until December 1 (optimistic I think) how many lockdowns and brder closures will we see.
  17. In a game some years ago they paid a few guys to dress up as orange bananas and that was the GWS cheer squad. It was quite amusing until the game turned and GWS ended up thrashing us. It was one of those many games that MFC went into as red hot favourite.
  18. wow.. very nice not sure if it's good or bad for us Hopefully irrelevant
  19. No Hogan will make the Casey night match a potential blockbuster
  20. AVB would make a decent sub but perhaps one week too early Jones has a slight calf strain... Utility Nathan Jones, who was listed as the AFL Medi-sub (unused) against Essendon, has suffered a minor calf strain and will miss this week’s match. Jones left the track early during Wednesday’s main training session at Casey Fields, with scans later confirming a small strain. “This is unfortunate timing for Nathan, given he has been able to perform at a high level consistently for the past month in the VFL,” General Manager AFL Performance Alan Richardson told Melbourne Media.
  21. In their defence there are now about six posts in the game preview thread. That's a 300% increase !! We lost first time around because Flynn couldn’t play a full game against Gawn and he destroyed us. Either mummy plays with Flynn or both young tucks miss out. play mummy this week and then give him the week off against the Sun’s who don’t have an experienced ruck. if Taylor and Hogan get up and play 1’s I think we are a red hot chance in this game
  22. Apparently 1900 people in Scotland who recently tested positive had attended the Euro's soccer tournament at various venues. Definitely a different approach in Europe. Meanwhile this week US school holidays start (4th July Holiday etc) and it's let it rip time https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/jun/30/surge-in-scottish-covid-cases-raises-euro-2020-safety-concerns
  23. It's okay .. we don't make too much mess Imagine being the second game after a Collingwood v Essendon match You do wonder though if they will have time to remove the cheese platters
  24. Would surprise me if all the Giants VFL players were here in the bubble. They have jobs outside football. Perhaps they will be allowed top up players
