  1. not a great result for MFC. anyway 2.5 games ahead of 5 and 6.
  2. Some blame the Players association and the Enterprise bargaining agreement which limits time spent by a player at the club. In the old days goal kicking was a solitary skill practised outside training. Now it has to form part of training which takes away from other team activities. No idea what the answer is. Sometimes we are the beneficiary of wayward kicking. Few remember that in our glorious defeat of Hawthorn in the 2018 finals the usually very accurate Jack Gunston kicked 3 goals 5 behinds
  3. no crowd almost guaranteed. perhaps 25k as a long shot. No dollars again. MFC should be screaming and in return getting something
  4. I have no idea if Jackson needs a rest but assuming he does is Weid up to replacing him around the ground? If not I think I'd prefer another forward/mid before Daw. What a shame no VFL today
  5. It's much easier following Melbourne Storm
  6. 1 v 17 yep thanks Dees
  7. NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  8. remind me who was on Lewis ?
  9. mmmmmmmmmmmmm not great by any means
  10. how do you dominate and go backwards on the scoreboard =MFC
  11. come on... 3 more goals and it's game over ... o well that lasted well
  12. Our man Smith is last man standing in the backline
  13. come on dees.. let's end this by half time for once
  14. let's hope they don't find form next week
  15. Tiges without Dusty = Ninthdom or worse
  16. Is he still injured. The original report was a mild strain and the rest was precautionary. Given no VFL tomorrow I suppose we will never know.
  17. With 19 cases today hard to see this being lifted on Tuesday. Will go the rest of next week at least is my guess. What a mess.
  18. cannot see that happening....even if we are no crowds
  19. He's calling it from Melbourne off the television so a little slack is deserved.
  20. Other than the kick to Chol Dusty has had no influence. Lynch has been hardly sighted. Daniher going for the easy ball out the back. Hard to see Richmond hanging on but it's entertaining with lots of corridor play. Go Tiges..........
  21. well done but we're still around 10th on the membership lists and around 7th of the ten Melbourne based clubs. It will be a hard task to climb the ladder. Looking at the numbers from Big Footy We should easily stay in front of the Saints next year and probably the Dogs who are 5k behind us. The teams within striking distance are Geelong, Hawthorn and to a lesser extent Essendon. Carlton's figure strike me as rubbery so they could be within range. North have 45k members which is more than we had in 2020. https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/2021-afl-membership-tracker-figures.1259510/
  22. you have to read between the lines. The AFL makes more on 50k in Perth or Adelaide than a 50k crowd at the MCG simply because the other State governments kick in money. That's how Ana did it last year. I smell an attempted squeeze on the Victorian government here but the AFL would want to tread warily
  23. Well the Freo v Geelong game certainly did us no favours. Tigers v Lions on a comparatively balmy evening at the Gold Coast. Hipwood out.. Go Tiges !!
