Naughton in the scheme of things is rather good

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
Makes sense Giving it a fixed weekend, a fixed timeslot and guaranteed FTA it could become a TV ratings bonanza. Channel 7 did an excellent job in 2018 (?) for example. It could also serve as a week during which Alice celebrates indigenous culture. Throw in a VFL match as well as a free event for those in town

FIXTURE: Rounds 16 to 19
When will we get on prime time Sponsors must be "really happy"
-
NON-MFC: Round 10, 2022
Some fascinating games this weekend not the least being that which is played on Mars. Some upsets late Sunday would be nice

Day Grand Final 2022
Night time is so much better for all those millions of followers we have in China. Wonder if Port will be off to Shanghai in 2023. The AFL certainly does know how to waste our money 😎

TEAMS: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
Agree I think he's there to "improve" the forward delivery and kick 2 odd goals. Will he? No idea

TEAMS: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
A few of us thought this a possibility. Wonder if Dunstan was fit PS I see Dunstan is named as an emergency so he must be right to go

CHANGES: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
You need Govt approval to depart from the list. It is often given if the package is "right" For example the Govt approved Cricket Australia's request for ALL ODI's involving Australia going behind the Foxtel paywall as of end 2021. The anomaly is that digital streaming is outside the rules. It only applies to cable. Notwithstanding you'd be a brave code to breach the spirit of the rules without a nod from Govt

CHANGES: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
Every match OD Australian rules football Each match in the AFL Premiership competition, including the Finals Series. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-siphoning_laws_in_Australia
-
CHANGES: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
Every match in AFL is on the Commonwealth anti siphoning rules Can't see a Government allowing 7 of 9 games to go behind a paywall but who knows

Dustin Martin may be going to Sydney
How cynical but it's hard to argue otherwise. I see it also as softening up the fan base for what would have been a controversial departure. Playing it smart.. exactly the opposite to Essendon and Daniher

What They Are Saying at Arden Street
well as long as it's not the Nutcracker More the 1812 Overture complete with Cannons.... Bang Bang Bang

Dustin Martin may be going to Sydney
Interesting thought OD... I think they'll do okay pick wise but of course it could just be a salary dump which allows the Tiges to target a young star

CHANGES: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
Must say I normally cut them off but you are right it is one of life's biggest mysteries

Spargo Signs on Until 2025
I had forgotten that Charlie struggled for selection in 2019 and 2020 (only 8 games each season) while he played 18 games in 2018 and every match in 2021. It hasn't come easy but he's a potential 200 gamer Well done Charlie

Dustin Martin may be going to Sydney
Buddy's contract at the Swans ends this year. He's reported to be interested in an extension. A Dusty move could put the cat among the pigeons (aka Swans) The flipside is that this confirms Tigers are resigned to a rebuild

Dustin Martin may be going to Sydney
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/he-s-paid-us-in-spades-hardwick-gives-blessing-for-martin-to-shift-north-20220517-p5alxs.html Richmond coach Damien Hardwick says Dustin Martin has his “blessing” to shift to Sydney should he desire, declaring whatever Martin provides the Tigers from here is a bonus. Martin has more than two seasons remaining on his seven-year contract at Punt Road, but there has been speculation he could leave early and finish his career away from the AFL fishbowl that is Melbourne. Could be just what the Swans need

CHANGES: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
Laurie was named as an emergency last week (St Kilda game) so he's certainly on the radar. Shame if Dunstan is injured. He played a good role against the Saints. Then there's Melksham Going forward I would like to see a few more goals from the midfield group. Gawn aside they haven't been giving the 4 odd goals a game you would expect from that group
-
Top 8 Now Fixed - according to history
Ok GWS down....no top 8 That still leaves 14 teams
-
CHANGES: Rd 10 vs North Melbourne
Melksham would be a possibility Was he a travelling emergency this weekend as I can't recall his name being mentioned at Casey
-
POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs West Coast

GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs West Coast
The amazing thing is that we are playing a team which has several players that have never played together. We on the other hand have been almost unchanged for eons. It's not a great performance
