memories of our darkest days when we sold multiple home games to Brisbane. No thanks Even going to Sydney costs us over $500k in lost revenue from the NT. The virus couldn't have hit us at a worse time. I'd prefer Wagga oval tbh
-
Noticed that Essendon were allowed into WA. That's a big change from last year Will be hard barracking for the Bombers but I will try

6.Oliver 5. Harmes 4. Petracca 3. Lever 2. Fritsch 1. Spargo (mainly for his first quarter tackling) 10 votes to the coaching staff

the last couple of weeks have not been good to us in the "other team stakes". At least Port play Geelong next week which will help. Beat Brisbane next week and .............
-
the Storm game from Thursday night is worth a watch. With their injuries they were playing their back up players in most of the key positions.
-
North would be a perfect swap if we play next week with zero or say 50% crowds Normal revenue plus we still get the NT money by playing them later in the year
-
The best outcome would be a game swap. Move a future game against a lesser Melbourne based club to next weekend. First question is who has the bye next week and are we scheduled to play them twice.

GAMEDAY: Rd 11 vs Western Bulldogs

Tend to agree. Tonight would not have worried me if not for last weeks loss. The run to the bye is very important. Need to win 2 of the next 3. -

Ideally you would play a guy like Joel Smith as your medical sub. If a mid goes down you can cover through rotations but if a KPP goes down it becomes harder. When Tomlinson went down it was Jones that came on. IIRC he played well but he certainly didn't cover the Tomlinson loss. Who would I pick.. hard to say but perhaps Baker or Daw ..... (if only they were a notch or two better) -
so.. where do we want to play Brisbane next week NT is almost certainly off and I suspect that Qld won't allow Brisbane to come to Melbourne So that leaves Sydney (SCG or Giant ) and as an outsider Manuka oval in the ACT. The other possibility is that if cases over the next few days are low AFL may go for an all team (or close to it) bye in the hope that things will be easier the following week

anyone know if the Casey v Bulldogs match at Whitten Oval on Sunday is going ahead? thanks -
apparently yes... at the SCG as I recall I assume the Hawks were not allowed by Ana to go to Queensland
-
Giants and Freo wins would be nice not to mention a ten goal win to the mighty magpies

Not our time. Not playing well enough. Perhaps later in the year. Last week and next will be more important season wise Happy to take a win though -
Would have preferred Mitch Brown to Weid frankly

Agree and then both forward vaccinate and 7 day forward quarantine at designated foreign airport hotel. Massive reduction of risk and not that expensive in the scheme of things. Plus allocate local hotel quarantine by risk levels. Anyway...here we go again ?

Let's hope Anna doesn't offer "to save the AFL" again

Yep was heading off on Monday for a roadtrip to Alice. Had my tickets for the game. SA border closure has put an end to that
-
SA just closed its border to Melbourne There goes my driving trip next week to the Red Centre. Had even dusted off the tent I haven't used for many many years
-
SA just closed its border to all Melbournians. A week late perhaps ?

How about this for an idea Here’s some news that may significantly alter life for tourists and the attractiveness of business hub Dubai – the United Arab Emirates said vaccinations against Covid-19 will be mandatory for people attending all “live events” from 6 June. The policy applies to all sports, cultural, social, arts exhibition, activities and events, a spokeswoman for the ministry of health said late on Tuesday. Attendees must also present a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken at least 48 hours before the event. The policy also appears to apply for weddings of up to 100 people. From the Guardian UK live Blog
