Today my family went out for a terrific pub lunch anticipating the club had improved enough to finally beat St Kilda. Well the family enjoyed the lunch and went to Etihad. The first quarter was great, then the rot set in. I will take my family to many more Sunday pub lunches, but vow to never go back to watch this inconsistent rabble at Etihad. I'm done with Etihad, I'm done with continuing to watch brain fades and lack of effort by this club at Etihad. There is not one single rational reason why this club cannot win at this ground against a side below them on the ladder. Both coaching and playing groups failed badly every time they run out onto this ground. It's not acceptable, and I like all of us am very damn annoyed at all in the MFC football department. It ain't good enough anymore, on field leadership needs a clean out and Jonesy seems tired and slow. I was watching at city end, and the abysmal decision making by some senior players just blew me away. NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE MFC. Time for heat to be put on leaders, we just screwed ourselves up the rear end on the ladder.

Like every other MFC tragic, I am totally fed up with losing to St Kilda....they are not a top 8 nor anywhere near a top 4 side, so why are they so invinceable against us? It's all above the shoulders at this ground, and the Team needs to grow a set and show some grit on this ground and beat this mob. I will go and support them, but I am damn sick of fronting up to this ground to watch us lose.

What role do you think he is playing? The discussion is not dramatic, people who go and watch our club play expect senior guys to do the job at this level. Dawes was shocking and looked like the game has passed him by. Nothing dramatic about telling how it is.

Why do some think Grimes will help this side progress ? He is a terrific young fella, however he is depth only and WILL NOT get any better. Bringing Grimes into the team will not help us win more games. Get real.

Dawes is NOT the new whipping boy - any poster who thinks Dawes is worthy of being in our best 22 is not watching his games. He was totally inept yesterday and our team was hindered not helped by his presence. He is obviously done at this level of football, and the club has to cut its losses and bring in a young bloke or bring back Pedo. Lets face up to the truth, Dawes was a financial loss to the club. Good luck to him outside of football.

TMac for all his qualities he equally screws up regularly every game without fail. He is the turnover King of the MFC, he either has a tiny brain or never learns from his mistakes.

Dawes is done and dusted!!!!!! He is a relic that must be dropped and never return to the team. He is a liability. we are a team that shows flashes of brilliance and lots of fumbles, poor disposal, poor decisions and a total lack of killer instinct to win games like today. We had momentum and then drank our own bath water at half time. I'm backing us to recruit some faster players because speed is really lacking. Hunt is a real find!!! I have been to so many losing games at the G I am so flat.

Just a couple of points. McGuire needs to work out if he wants to be a club president or does he want to be a middle aged radio clown. His comments were bullying and I suggest he would of made the same comments when he was in his 20s, so he has learnt nothing. Triple Ms silence to date is not surprising, it's morning show is a throwback to the 70s with similar toilet style humour from middle aged men trying to be funny. Too many ex footballers in radio these days who have stuff all to contribute other than change room type jokes that aren't funny. As for McGuire and Brayshaw...just grow up!!!!

Who do you think deserve a spot in the AA for 2016. I think there are 2 standouts from the Dee's - Gawn & Viney Jonesy deserves a spot after years of toil, but suspect there will not enough spots for the champ. I will be outraged if Scully gets a spot ahead of Viney or Jones. my 2 bobs worth.

How the hell any of our listed players will develop in Casey whilst playing on this boghole astounds me! Apart from the wind gusts, the ground is in shocking condition. Watching the game much worse, zero skills and just a rugby scrum in the mud.

With Viney out....our mids will need to work hard to get early momentum. They have to also score themselves and help out the forwards. If the mids are beaten, our backline won't cope. Must win game before the bye....this team is overdue for a complete effort against a side they should beat.

Ahhh...there goes that idea.

We are known as a slow team, so coaches need to give Kent a Royal kick up the bum and put him on notice, I would keep him in. Dunn needs to come in to take Cloke. I dont want to turn up to this game and watch Cloke kick a bag......our club is notorious for playing guys into form or losing games we should win. Dunn has to be given a role on Cloke to shut him down. I don't trust either McDonald boy to do that job. we have lost too many of these home game QB clashes and now is the time to do it for Danners and the whole club. We should and need to win this game. Big big opportunity for the players to put this one to bed.

I can remember over a long period of time how us Australians used to give it to the soccer players around the world for diving and screaming in pain when they tripped over. How times have changed! We now have our own homegrown staging generation of players who train to get free kicks. Its always been there in small doses but now it in every single game and it's getting worse. Staging for free kicks has become a tactic and strategy at most clubs, some do it far better than others. This encourages players to cheat and it is a cancer on our proud game. The AFL must stamp it out or we too will have our divers head Duckers and cheats.

Matthew 3 knobs Lloyd said that we need a Darcy Parish. The flogger said Oliver does not have the pace of Parish. He cannot help himself, had to insert Essendon into his commentary. He is a A grade [censored].

Strong game and we were hard at. They are just more experienced and polished. They are on the decline and we are on the way up. Next year we will win this game and break this hoodoo.

We are living at a time in history where the quality of AFL commentators is at an all time low. Channel 7 has the worst group of all and they need a real clean out and get some trained journos into calling instead of family connections and ex footballers like. Watson, etc etc. I feel stupid saying this but the amount of MFC haters in the media has become obvious. Dwank Dwussell, Mathew sock sucker Lloyd, Leigh Matthews just to name a few. radio is the biggest disappointment with quality.......its just a poor standard, and I have been listening to footy calling for 50 years. As for Fox footy....well that is just club ego. The only show I enjoy is On the Couch.

Have heard the coaches believe he is not accountable for a senior player, does not set right example to young guys. Card marked.

Well folks....after this week Carlton will be above us on the ladder. We just need to get ruthless as a team and win those games we should never lose...such as Bombers!

Bad bad loss to PA in the context of the season. Hawks, Pies, Sydney before the bye, wow it's about to get ugly again. if only our senior guys had the mongrel to scrape out a win and lead for once it would be wonderful, always too reliant on our young guys to get the job done. Jones whilst a warrior gives it up too often, and just bombs his kicks. Garland is finished, Dunn not much better, Grimes too slow...etc etc. It will be the young guys who lift this club. Until then we watch the inconsistency with much frustration.

We have missed some very vital opportunities as a club to stay close to the 8. Home game losses to St Kilda, PA, and that brain fade against Bummers. Will now come back to bite us because we fade in games we should win. Will be lucky to snatch a win before the bye, then all down hill with maybe a win against Gold Coast after the bye. Coaching group/ Selection Committee must lift its game or we are facing scummy 2nd half of season. Effort today was just terrible...very tiring this inconsistency.

All our efforts and marketing should be focussed on Melbourne and the MCG. Stuff this nonsense in NT. We are Melbourne not Alice Springs. Our team plays bad every time they go to the desert.

Our next likely win is July 31.....prepare yourselves for a dirty few weeks. We never learn.

This club, the players, supporters and media need to realise we are not top 8 material YET, any talk of it is just plain dumb. We have a dearth of young talent still developing. At best we are 10th - 14th, any other talk is rubbish. my grizzle is aimed at senior players who do not lead when it is needed, it is an old chestnut but it is an accurate one. If anyone can tell me what the hell (apart from money) this club has gained by selling home games over the past10 years, I am happy to listen. Screw selling home games, it should stop forthwith as soon as last contract ends. The quality of all these games is poor and frankly worse than watching VFL. I cannot see what benefit it is to developing players to be dragged to Alice Springs each year to get beaten. It is a gift to Port Adelaide, and it was always a gift to Brisbane in the past. I'm over it!!! OUR HOME IS MCG!!!!
