I am 100% confident of one thing This thread is easily going to make 100 pages before we know what LJ has decided

Trying to be objective here - I wouldn't swap our list for theirs, nor home grounds, nor jumpers, nor coaches - when its all said and done they are a very unattractive proposition

From a supporters point of view its always great to see our best players commit to the club long term just like we have - it shows a clear aligned interest in wanting the club to be successful long term. These guys should all know they have a fairly unique opportunity to enjoy a sustained period of success if they stick to the script and keep working hard. Its the sum of the parts that makes a great team - lets hope all of the parts think the same way

Turner well and truly deserves an extension - he does show a lot of promise His work at Casey has been on par with Tomlinson in my opinion - every chance to grab a permanent spot next year with another big pre-season behind him. If he can it will create more options to go forward (if required) say, Petty or J Smith

What decision ? he hasn't made a decision yet as far as we know - or have I missed something ? There's a lot of jumping at shadows going on here atm

Personally I've always been confident that Gus would stay - not so sure about Jackson However, the days passing with no commitment is very disconcerting

Its easy to misinterpret what is said in these situations but that was my impression too We seem to have gone from "we are confident" he will stay to "we are hopeful" - disappointing change in tone

Pretty sure that was covered in the unfulfilled talent assessment - either way he is potentially an interesting option which I have no doubt our list management team have or continue to assess

I'm not sure if Jordy understands the difference between training and partying - on that basis he certainly did set a cracking pace

Disrespect the opponent at your peril - nobody gets a sniff until they well and truly deserve it If JVR is considered the best available for a position in the 22 great - if not he plays at Casey BBB is very lucky he isn't busting the door down IMO - despite being a big lad I just don't think he has the physical maturity to compete in a KFP at AFL level yet

He is certainly big enough, mobile enough and seems capable in terms of marking ability Has been mostly played as a defender so no idea if he could make a go of a KPF role - his brother does ok ! If nothing else would be a stronger physical presence than BBB - having said that he is below average on almost all key stats during his career so on that basis your assessment of unfulfilled talent is either spot on or he just isn't good enough Not the worst idea though IMO

Harmes is consistently underrated by many on this site His job last night was to nullify one of the best mids in the comp (Neale) and he did that very very well whilst also picking up 2 goals and only 6 less possessions than his opponent - great game I have no doubt Yze would be over the moon with how he went

I think he definitely improved as the game went on but I honestly thought May was not having a great night particularly early

Totally agree with this - set the standard for others to follow and didn’t let up for one moment - incredible and inspiring

Interested in your thoughts on the game overall My take - we needed to move the ball faster and be more daring on transition ✔️ - we needed to up our pressure all over the ground ✔️ - we needed to get more efficient moving the ball into F50 ✔️( much better but still wasteful at times) Overall I thought Viney was completely unstoppable - Actually Petracca like from the GF. Lever back to best, LJ very good etc But I’m interested in your assessment of the Lions 🦁 particularly comments on them looking exhausted because the second half of the same fixture last year I saw them same scenario unfold in Sydney Were they what we were against Freo ? Either way I think our performance was as good as anyone has played this season but can we really take much away from whether the Lions are a genuine threat ?
