AFLW: Rd 07 vs Western Bulldogs
Not intended. Just don't remember going there or seeing signposts in my travels.

AFLW: Rd 07 vs Western Bulldogs
Hate to tell you this but Cranbourne is close to the worst suburb on the east/south/south east of Melbourne. Where on earth do you live that Cranbourne looks 'good'? I know it is 'west' but...

Great football. Good % boost.

Farewell Luke Jackson
We may not have much choice. fwiw I think Freo will not make the 8 next year so their F! could well be a top 10 pick. If we get their F1 I hope we keep it.

Farewell Luke Jackson
My heart sank when I saw that... Have they dropped their offer or are you referring to the one in this later post? I would settle for that and give them our F2 and or F3 back since we typically don't take picks >40 to the draft.

He will want to go to Geelong!

Adam Tomlinson on the move?
Clue, please?

Trade and Free Agency rumours
Can't see how they get JHF without WCE pick 2 involved. For them to expect to get him and Junior Rioli for pick 8 and a F1 is a joke I would have thought they are ok for pick 2 but not with Rioli included. They need to put up something/someone else I don't blame them. They owe Rioli nothing. If they are giving him away for free in the Port trade of pick 8 and a F1 for Rioli and Pick 2 then let him go to the psd. They will have lost nothing. It is one time where the losing club doesn't miss out on anything.

Jack Bowes Salary Dump
It should be F1 but it won't be.

Has it officially changed?

Jack Bowes Salary Dump
If so I hope they told Bowes that before he nominated them. I would guess it is 4 years at say $550-$600. Geelong get pick 7, get the player but spread the $$ for little sal cap hit. Not what was implied in GCS offer.

That is because QB will be our Home game.

Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
Where is 'goodwindees' when you need him!๐

Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
Players with a few years to run on their contracts: TMc, Brown who struggle to get on the park for chunks of the year; Tomlinson, Hibberd and Melksham are depth. I don't really have a problem with keeping them but if we don't bring in more experience that can play each week then we are relying on kids to replace them. But as they say: the night is still young! Trade week has a way to go.

I think we already knew that Geelong and Richmond had swapped picks for Geelong to get one spot ahead of us. It would have been pre-planned by them and we either knew before we went into draft night or were alerted to it in the minutes before the pick swap happened. Then it was the next best two: Bowey and Laurie.

Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
Is that a realistic expectation? It can come unstuck so easily.

Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
So that is two years with only two additions of experience to our list: Dunstan and Grundy. By the look of it to win the 2023 premiership we are relying on Grundy less Jackson and some 2021 and 2022 draftees who have yet to play a game. I was hoping we would start to fill that 23=25 yo gap in our list profile and turnover some of the more expensive but no longer likely best 22 players.

Delisting/Out of Contract Targets
Any targets that we have been seriously linked to or is Grundy it?

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Good point! But really don't like that sort of 'sweetner'.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Is this a serious suggestion or media hypothetical?

That isn't too good. Forgetting the Ashcroft bid, other F/S Davey Jr and Fletcher may be bid on between 13 and 16 so then 16 becomes 18. All the risk is with us for a potential 5 spot first round slide. Everything about our draft history and Lamb's recent comments is we want to go up the order not down.

Trade and Free Agency rumours
The reported trade for Rankine: Herald Sun reporter Jon Ralph revealed the Crows are nearing a trade with the Suns thatโll see Adelaide land Rankine and a late pick in this yearโs draft in exchange for Pick 5, a future third rounder and future fourth rounder." Don't know why Ralph thinks it is a steal for Adelaide. It suits GCS they want points in 2023 for their Academy player so those F3 and F4 are really valuable to GCS. Win/Win.

Farewell Luke Jackson
I don't think they've tried. No chat anywhere, not even the WA media of them trying. They wanted two players from GCS. They could still deal for pick 5 to come from Adelaide as part of thsoe trades. But have already done one of the deals with GCS. Won't do the Lobb deal with Bulldogs. Won't do the Meeks deal with Hawks. They won't make any effort to improve their hand even tho the options have been and are there.
