No offence taken. I like my diagram as it shows the possible combinations for each final. In a nutshell the diagram is in ladder order and the colour shading in the first column shows the pairings for each week one final. The W or L is the winner/loser of each pairing and so on and so forth.

I'm leaning the same way. The teams in Red in the Table are the ones I earmarked to play off in the respective final. In the Table I have Geelong/Sydney in PFI and Dees/Freo in PF2. Sydney have a good record over Geelong. So yeah, Dees vs Swans for the GF. Not that I think Syd are that good, just that they match up well with the teams I think they might meet.

Agreed. I reckon the OTT commentators may get Draper GOTY because it sounded so exciting. But Nic Nat has done that dozens of times so Draper's goal isn't really so special. Just the noise is a few levels higher. Bit disappointed one of Kozzie's miracle goals in Alice didn't make the final 3. Or his match winning, top 2 ladder position setting, goal vs Carlton with 10 seconds to go while being tackled. Right up there for a crazy, match winning goal in a clutch moment.

Didn't the AFL change how MOTY and GOTY are decided when Howe was denied the win by the weight of numbers of fans voting for others. I thought the decision was taken 'in-house' by the AFL so this voting by fans could be a 'mock' vote to keep it in the news. Edit: Just found this: "At the end of all Competition Rounds the AFL Game Analysis Committee will select the best three marks from a selection of 28 (the 23 round winners, along with 5 other contenders as determined by the AFL Media). The best three will be based on a 5/4/3/2/1 vote given by each member of the selection committee". https://www.afl.com.au/mark-of-the-year/prizes It doesn't say where fan voting fits in. It doesn't say who is on the selection committee that does the 5/4/3/2/1 voting or how many. All the technicalities aside, fantastic that Spargo is in the final three! Very courageous going with the flight of the ball and no idea who was coming the other way. Deserves extra points from the voters for that.

I doubt Grundy would go back to SA. He likes the Melbourne 'hipster' life too much. Possibly why he may not go to Geelong. That leaves Dees and Hawks. Hawks can more easily accommodate his $ and Coll trade requirements, given the picks currently known. Guilty of that. In my defence I didn't know he was talking about betting of which I know nothing. Stocks I know a thing or two but the bits FC showed cobbled together didn't have a context. It is good to have it clarified on here. After all that he reckons we can go back-to-back!

Thanks, dworship. I can't remember the sequence of what I did. Sometimes, I tried 'best available' and sometimes 'category 1' and always got Mxx bays. Even when I clicked on an N bay I ended up with tickets in Mxx bays. Maybe I need a lesson🙂 . Hopefully better for the next game.

In this thread I've read that the 'queue' isn't really a queue, getting through is somewhat random. I can vouch for that got through a lot faster on a mobile device than a laptop which shouldn't happen if there was a proper queue. Also someone said that if the system allocates tickets to someone and they don't take them, they don't return to being 'available' for x minutes; don't recall how many. Maybe I got caught up in all that randomness...

Very poor of McLachlan. We've won one premiership in 57 years and struggled for decades. And, what does he even mean by 'overdone'. He clearly doesn't want us to win. I hope Goodwin plays the comment back to the players and it spurs them on in the same way Ed's: "one trick pony' spurred on the Pies.

I got through at about 10.15/20 having waited half an hour, then selected the Premium Member option and put in two Redleg Member barcodes and requested 1 ticket each. The system sent me through to level 1 in M xx bays. No choice given of bay or seat. I tried several times and each time the system gave me ground level Mxx bays. I assumed all premium tickets had been sold in the first 15 minutes (probably to members buying up to an extra 9 tickets per bar code). Maybe Redleg memberships aren't considered 'premium'...

Last year waiting till after the PF win gave us two weeks of flag flying because of the pre GF bye. Think I'll put them up after we qualify for the PF which could be this week, next week or not at all.

I thought you had M11 or something like that undercover? What bay are your tickets now?

I wrote to the club about allowing 10 tickets per member which could be for non-members or even non demon fans. It was supposed to be a 'Member PreSale. Their response was: All finals tickets are run by the AFL, all decisions regarding 10 additional tickets per barcode is also a decision made entirely by them. We urge you to contact them if you wish to take this complaint further. I might do just that! imv during the 'Members Presale' it should be one ticket per barcode. Clearly the AFL don't care that non members and non dees fans can get tickets and even premium tickets. Pretty ordinary seeing that we have kept paying memberships during covid without any football. I've also concluded that selecting 'The Premium Member' option for barcodes doesn't allocate premium seats. Not sure why they even have it. Maybe it is to make people feel good ala saying we are in a queue for tickets but it turns out to be random. It really is first in best dressed! I wouldn't mind that if there wasn't the 10 ticket per member sale thing going on.

Are you sure they are amongst the swans. It looked like a dees area when Ticketek allocated the seats/bays

Last year I waited until we won the PF to put our colours out...didn't want to jinx our GF chances putting them out earlier. This year, I'm wondering when to put them out: after this week's QF or wait to see if we make or if we win a PF. I'm inclined to wait until we make a PF which could be this week.
