  1. I hope he surfaces in time to get onto Ticketek for his tickets...😐
  2. I understand the sympathy toward Rutten. But his specialty is defence and we have an excellent defence coach in Chaplin. That isn't to say Rutten couldn't do Yze's job but I have my doubts. Yze is a lot more than a line (midfield) coach he also does a lot of the strategy, tactics and ball movement work. He virtually runs the show on match day from the box. There are a lot of reasons why Ess have been poor this year but I'm not sure Yze's role matches Rutten's strong suit.
  3. True. I was hoping to give @Demongirl35 reasons to go to the game ie we are a much stronger team now than in round 12. I'll add a few more reasons on match ups: neither May or Buddy played last time but naturally May will take him. Now that you mention Petty, he was injured early in the rnd 12 game but played on so our defence was further weakened. There is a lot of synergy in our back 6 so with a fit Petty and May in we are much stronger. Ditto at the other end of the ground without M. Brown. There is a fair chance Hunt will go to Papley as he has done a great job on small fwds this year and has the speed to keep up with him. And they had Paddy Mc playing on Kozzie who drifted off and marked everything in sight as did all their defenders. I doubt that will be allowed again with Max down there now. Reckon Melksham would be good match up for Paddy.
  4. Don't believe them! We are a better team now: Hibberd will not let Reid get away like Tomlinson did, we have May back (but they have Buddy back), we have a different fwd line without M. Brown. Our ball movement is different. And Sydney have won seven consecutive games. Can they continue? I have my doubts! Anyway, win lose or draw all dee fans should go.
  5. Thanks. My barcodes were there🙂 If for some reason members can't access their ticketmaster account check emails this afternoon for barcodes.
  6. Patience dear Layzie. They will be there for you tomorrow.
  7. I'm too scared too look too far fwd so as not to jinx the team. One-week-at-a-time😐 But I reckon we can do it!
  8. Yes, they need to sort out the whole club starting with the board. But they won't. It is too divided. I read on an Ess forum that they have 2 or 3 very powerful coteries and each wants their share of reps on the board. So even if the names change the power balance doesn't. And yep they won't get Jackson: Sheedy is the 'king maker' on the board. Jackson sacked Sheedy as Essendon coach. We can watch from afar, their factions warring for some time to come. And Ess anchored to the bottom of the ladder. Popcorn time!
  9. Yeah, that is what it says...10 tickets per member. So I guess they aren't expecting a lot of Sydney fans. Nonetheless it seems a lot of tickets...
  10. It now says Tuesday 10.00 am
  11. As we are playing on Friday night our tickets will most likely go on sale on Tuesday morning. Therefore keep an eye on your emails for one from the club which has your Barcode(s) necessary to buy tickets.
  12. Oh, thanks. I misread the table 🤔
  13. One would think they would put one of the interstate games on Saturday night, especially as Freo and Bulldogs will be playing on Father's Day.
  14. Thursday night: Lions vs Tigers Friday night: Dees vs Swans Saturday Afternoon: Cats vs Pies Sunday Saturday Twilight: Freo vs Bulldogs. Bizarre that there is no game on Saturday night!! Edit: changed the day for the Freo vs Bulldogs game from Sunday to Saturday.
  15. No. We chose our seats on the Ticketek website when purchasing the tickets. Hopefully, the system allows us to choose our seats rather than the computer 'allocate' seats and then have to try and change them on the website. My tip is to check check all the info on Ticketek in advance of the tickets going on sale. And have the membership barcodes which the club sends (hopefully tomorrow) ready.
  16. Pleased that JVR is our best first year play. But how does he get there if he hasn't played a senior game?

  21. Correct. Robinson is just making it worse and causing Petty's family more distress. He should just leave it alone as Harrison requested. He is no better than Zorko using Petty's family as click bait. Low blow even for Robinson.
  22. Correct Jimmy. We could play the loser of Geelong/Collingwood if they win their Second semi vs the winner of Freo/Bulldogs.
  23. Thanks for the reminder. I figured to play on the Thursday Sydney will have an 11 day break and they will probably kick up a fuss having finished top 4. Wouldn't be surprised to see one of the EF on the Thursday night.
  24. Whenever we play we will have an extra two days rest on Sydney. Given that Sydney played today, I doubt our QF will be on the Thursday night. It could even be Saturday afternoon to give Syd the chance to get back to Sydney that night in case they play the following week. Finishing top 4 gives them that right. But more likely the two QF will be Fri and Sat nights. That was an ordinary performance by Sydney. Whenever it is we should win!!
  25. EF: Freo vs Bulldogs @ Optus EF: Lions vs Tigers @ Gabba QF: Geelong vs Pies @ MCG QF Dees vs Swans @ MCG The road to back-to-back for us is: Win the QF and go straight to a PF where we will play one of: Geelong, Collingwood, Freo, Bulldogs at the G. Lose the QF and we play the winner of Lions/Tigers EF at the G. Win that we then face one of Geelong or Collingwood in a PF at the G. We can avoid whoever wins the Geelong vs Coll QF until the GF if we beat the Swans next week. And it looks like we don't leave the G. See you at the G folks. ps hope I have the sequence right. 😐
