  1. Really enjoyed the Geelong win - it was so unexpected. The Richmond win seemed so long ago but I was there and it was an awesome night. In my household, a win over Collingwood is a joyous occasion.
  2. I agree but I know DR and he is a top bloke, great communicator and a very experienced former player who is still in touch with the game. He knows how to talk to the young guys and hopefully will boost Jimmys confidence.
  3. I heard today from a reliable source that David Rodan is mentoring Jimmy.
  4. I am going - more out of respect to Daniel Cross now.
  5. I have a lump in my throat after watching his speech to the team. His body language said he didn't want to go. Well done DC. You are a fabulous role model and I hope you stick around the club.
  6. I used to drive home from work listening to Hooksey and Gerard - loved the show. It has gone into a gradual decline since DW came in. He is sexist pig as well as everything listed above.
  7. Agree 100% - cannot stand him. Cannot listen to Sports Tonight on 3AW when he is on. Such an arrogant jerk.
  8. I am having flash backs to ten years ago when we played Freemantle and kicked about 50+ points in the final quarter to win. . I think Woinamerri kicked a bag of goals.
  9. You beat me to it. We always seem to draw the short straw with him.
  10. Just finished reading todays Age and HS - not a word. That's disappointing but typical,
  11. I enjoyed that article from Colin Garland. I respect Nathan enormously and feel that we are so fortunate to have him at our club. I am just sorry that he will not reach the milestone here in Melbourne. As much as I dislike late Sunday afternoon games, I would have made an exception if we were playing in Melbourne this week. Well done Nathan Jones.
  12. Whoops - sorry. I ready the Footy injury heading and only read the word foot! For what it is worth, I had surgery on both knees as well in my early 20's (from netball) and again two years ago. I am having stem cell treatment soon to one knee for longevity and the other one feels great. Technology is moving along in leaps and bounds in sports science. Good luck to Liam.
  13. All the best to you and your son. Foot injuries are unpredictable. I was a long distance runner and had foot surgery about five years ago. After the first 12 months post op it all looked a bit dismal but I followed the doctors orders, did my rehab as ordered and stopped wearing heels. Unfortunately I had to give up my beloved running but took up yoga and pilates which I practice every day. My foot feels great. I forget sometimes that I actually had surgery and am in fantastic condition. Fitter than I have ever been. All is not lost. Good luck with your new career.
  14. 6. McDonald 5. Grimes 4. Mitchie 3. Watts 2. Salem 1.Stretch
  15. Agree 100% - I don't like that look of intent on his face. Could have broken Wingard's neck. The highest possible penalty should apply.
  16. Tragic news. So young. Sending my prayers and condolences to the Ratten family.
  17. OMG. I am still overseas and set my alarm for some un Godly hour so I could follow this game on line. Think I will just roll over and go back to sleep.
  18. From watching overseas on my computer: 6. Vince 5. Viney 4. Gawn 3. Watts 2. Hogan 1. Jetta
  19. I'm overseas at the moment and can access the game on the AFL site at 12.10am. As my husband is a Collingwood supporter, I might make the effort as my body clock is still all over the place and I will probably be awake anyway. Go Dees.
  20. I met Jack at the family day at Luna Park. He was lovely - humble, listened to what we had to say and made plenty of time for every fan ( young and old). My daughter adores him. We have a great photo of the three of us and I can honestly say out of all of the players I met that day, Jack was by far the nicest and most obliging with his time. If I was young enough to run through the banner, I would pick Bernie closely followed by Jack.
