Well done Brad - you were always a favorite of mine. From a female perspective (as many of the guys here are commenting on Pia) he was very easy on the eye and having met him - a tremendous bloke.

I work with a Bomber fan and have spent years and years listening to her gushing about "St James Hird" , Lloydy and K.S. Cannot wait to see her tomorrow morning. What would have made my weekend more complete(apart from a Demon win) would have seen Collingwood getting done.

You are correct, I saw this as well. I also saw an interview a few weeks ago where he stated he would like to play on. I hope my source was wrong - he is an anesthetist so maybe he has been inhaling too much nitrous oxide and was confused! I meant that I hope Brad retired because he wanted too - I would be disappointed if it was not the case. I personally hoped he would stay on another year - but that's just my opinion.

Heard today in an operating theatre (often a great source for footy news and gossip) that Brad did not retire on his own terms. Very disappointed if that is the case.

I couldn't believe how negative Robert Wall's was yesterday on SEN. Not one positive thing about Melbourne came out of his mouth. Good on Brad Green to celebrate. Walls came across as a bitter, twisted old man who looks at the cup half empty. I enjoyed the win.

I was there in the Members yesterday and I don't recall hearing any jeering when Cale went off. I would have been embarrassed if that was the case. I was however not in the reserved area.

Yes - unfortunately bribery works in the form of food and merchandise. My husband got to my daughter first and it didn't take too many hot jam donuts and an ugly stuffed bird toy for her to become a Magpie supporter. Most disappointing day in my life. It means that I now go to most games on my own. I hope you and your little girl have a great day. I will be there cheering the Dees on.

I hope the judge and jury see this for what it is and these morons get taught a lesson. How frightening for Nathan's brother to have witnessed his Dad getting beaten up by these scum. My son and I have been heckled by young girls - Collingwood supporters on our way to the G and on the train. Their lack of class and foul language has no boundaries. I go to the footy most weeks and have done for years, but the only time I fear for my safety is the Collingwood vs Melbourne games. I have never had a problem with any other supporters.

I had the binoculars on him as he was being assisted down the race. His knee was sticking out at a terrible angle - and the pain on his face said it all. Speedy recovery Jamie.

I agree - Stef rucked well and tried hard all day. He really is a super athlete. I was at the game and thought we were competitive until 3/4 time but fatigue caught up with the boys.
