  1. My niece and her hubby are due to have their first bub next week. Her husband texts me after each game with a name to run past me. So far this season its been Hogan, Dom, Jack and Maxy. I suggested Bernie as well for good measure. Congrats on your new grandson. May the next generation of Dee supporters keep coming.
  2. Love Bernie - he is a great leader, player and all round top bloke by accounts. I have two daughters - I seriously want him to marry into my family. I can only dream.
  3. He is a Pies supporter but is a signed up MFC member and nearly always comes along with me to watch the Dees. I think he needs to come out of the closet. He's been to more MFC matches this season than Collingwood ones.
  4. 6. Gawn 5. Viney 4. Garlett 3. Tyson 2. Vince 1. Kent
  5. I went to game last night and loved every minute of it. The pre game ceremony was very moving and the game itself was sensational. Even my husband (decked out in his Melbourne gear) was cheering loudly and on the edge of his seat. I had the misfortune to have a ferral Richmond supported sitting on my other side. Talk about a misfit and totally delusional. He thought we got a good run with the umpiring - what a joke. He slunk away at 3/4 time thank God. The atmosphere was amazing and I felt so proud to be a member of the MFC. Jack Viney - I used to refer to you as Baby Jesus but you are now God in my eyes.
  6. I'm not quite at that stage but I have often thought that I may have a heart attack at the football one day. I sincerely hope not but I checked my pulse last Sunday and it was 140bpm (usually sits at around 72). My mothers cousin died at a Melbourne/ Carlton game back in the early 1960's and he was only 40 ,,,,,,,
  7. Of course. He dislikes Richmond all most as much as I do. AND he will be wearing his 2016 Members scarf!! Happy wife, happy life!
  8. Can' t wait. I loved the pre game formalities last year and loved the end result. I never need an excuse to stand up and sing the national anthem - apologises in advance to anyone sitting in level one in the members. Singing is not one of my finer points.
  9. RIP Prince - another brilliant performer gone.
  10. Do you mean type of dog or membership? The dogs are both miniature schnauzers and the membership is $35/year. You get some sort of gift for the dog. This year it was a travel water bowl. Both dogs were rescue dogs and one came with a well chewed small Collingwood football when we bought him home. That went straight into the bin and he now sleeps on a red and blue rug.❤️?
  11. As you know I signed my husband up 10 years ago and he will be there with me on Sunday night wearing his members scarf ( he hates Richmond). He often comes to the games with me and never not supports the Dees when he is with me ( he wouldn't dare??). I also have both dogs signed up.
  12. Almost and yes. It was the best feeling.
  13. I was at the game with a bunch of Collingwood supporters. What a fantastic feeling - nothing like beating the Pies.
  14. 6. Watts 5. Viney 4. Maxy Gawn 3. N Jones 2. Pedo 1. Tyson Honourable mentions: The Prince, Wagner, Kent
  15. He doesn't have a good record either.
  16. Terrible low act. Four weeks minimum. Deserves more.
  17. 6. Gawn 5. Viney 4. Vince 3. Oliver 2. H.L 1. Kent
  18. Ha, ha - my husband said top 2!!
  19. I loved the Rev. Was shattered when he was sacked. Cried like a baby.
  20. Trenners has a very nice girlfriend and has been in a long term relationship with her for some time. I am told it is quite serious.Didn't Jack Grimes get married just last year? If so - definitely time to get a move on.
  21. 6. Kennedy 5. N Jones 4. Vince
  22. No way - my husband (Collingwood supporter) gets a Dee's membership every year for Christmas.
  23. That was one of the highlights of the season for me. Had no voice the next day. Hope history repeats itself again this year. Nothing like beating the Tigers.
  24. I didn't win the competition but I was given this as a birthday gift from my husband ( he won it at a silent auction) ..... great fun. I scored a seat between Paul Roos and Bernie. My daughter sat between Nathan and Clayton Oliver. It was great, over very quickly but the players were very friendly and gracious considering how many times they had to smile. There were at least 50 groups going through - some sponsors and large groups but plenty of small groups as well. It was well organised and I would highly recommend it if anyone gets the opportunity.
  25. Kent and Salem for me.
