I almost don’t want to comment because he’s both a playing great and the best captain in my time as a supporter. Personally I think he has 1 more year. But at a push, we have CP? Viney? and prob the top pick Lever. But… it hurts to even think about it.

Haven't given up on Mcadam. Seems like his Hamstring was more major than minor...could be better next year. Fingers crossed.

Im all in favour of a game before the seasons end but imo thats all he's physically ready for...ie give him a taste to get him invested in having the pre season of his life.

We are now a very young Injury ravaged team playing arguably the worst footy in the comp. It’s been hard to watch how far they’ve fallen in 24. Hopefully they can rebound next year but I guess there’s no guarantees is there.

I think the body shape needed for a ruck may have changed with the new rules. If we’re looking to add a replacement ruckman then maybe we need to look at a big bodied boofhead ruck. They seem like valuable property now. Briggs and Xerri have both got the better of Max.

Interesting that the brain dead commentators still saying “ what could he do… he was in the air” despite the fact he absolutely changed everything about the type of connection he was about to make while in the air! yep.. that tribunal call still makes me furious.

reminded me of Freo last week. not just soft centre clearances either. 3 of them gave them goals . to lose Centre clearances 8-0 when the game and indeed the whole frikn season is on the line is both unthinkable and unforgivable.

Crazy day…. a great demon memory that one. He kicked 9 after half time! He didn’t come bk on until about 5 mins into the third when Beams broke his wrist. 9 straight and then he missed one. 9.1

I think it depends on where we see our list doesn’t it DJ? I mean are we challenging now? Remembering we’re probably in the last 2 years of maximus and possibly May. Plus as importantly , do they think oliver and trac return at close to full rat power? or not? If the answer to either of those questions is no then we don’t trade away picks fr a 27 year old. . If it’s yes on both scores then surely we prob do?

This reminds me of the hoo haa when we got lever. which went on all the way until we won a flag. No one bats an eye at that deal now.

me too…. it was the follow up tragedy to the 87 prelim loss but a much more silent heart ache. We crossed paths with the proverbial black cat that off season. All the focus of course went to schwartz but we lost multiple superstars or about to be superstars in one fell swoop. Easy to forget just how good Tingay and Charles were.

Got his autograph as a 10 year old at training on a muddy MCG. I remember watching them do circle work and then finish training by sprinting back from the centre to the gate. Different days lol.

That was the worst Ive seen the dees play in about 7 or 8 years and the players will know that too. After the last few weeks Im going with Binmans loading explanation for that plus the 2 extra days break they had exacerbating that possibility. This is a proud club, playing back on the ground they won a flag on, wanting to atone for a really embarassing performance last time. Whatever the result dees will be bringing the heat. In short .... Dees in a tight tussle. Petty to kick the winning goal after the siren :-)

He was good yes, but not in the same league as those three imo. He had one great season ...and also a lot of good ones. He was very handy for us though and I remember the Jamar / Maloney combo in the dark years.
