    I actually expected to that the AFL would introduce a season pass when they did the new media deal (like the NBA has which is awesome. On theirs, you can buy a season pass or just access to one team's games.) Brilliant! But they have been swayed by Foxtel who needed complete exclusivity to support their dying model. Not only that but Foxtel GO seems to be a low res option at best! Used it to watch game of thrones one year and it was horrendous...

    I guess the worry there is that there may be a percentage of those 12,000 who normally join during the season proper have become enthusiastic and gotten in earlier than they normally would have...

    I reckon if the AFL puts on of those "watch the last 2 minutes" videos up, that should just about save you 2 hours... Everything you need will be there to sum it up!

    Dunno if it's been said, but I think the fact that Sydney has been playing (and likely training) in abhorrent conditions similar to those today for the last month, they would be well drilled and used to handling the slippery ball. I did think that we were a bit more useful with tactics in the wet than we were against hawthorn, but there were just too many errors on our side of attack. The constant use of a backline sweeper by sydney also stopped a few of the late opportunities that we had late in the game.

    To be fair this year I think that we have only had to wear the clash jumper once this year, against essendon (shudder). We have had the indigenous and BCNA jumpers, but they were at our home games. Should be #1 strip against sydney this weekend as well.

    The opportunity to have grimes in possession of the ball to spray it out sounds better than an opposition player collecting it unopposed running into the goalsquare again... the skewed kick back out might give our defenders a chance to get back!

    I'm heading to the 'G today, so I'd like to break a losing streak when I go t games that runs back to 2006!
