I could not believe the lack of awareness or interest to cover Terlich. How ironic that he calls for 100% improvement yet lacks the fundamentals....

Currently we are a better team with Frawley in it. However, if he was to leave and we consolidated our team with 2 quality mids plus a fit Hogan it is hard to argue that we wouldn't progress far quicker. Obviously if Hogan isn't 100% we may consider another KPF. Frawley seems like a great fella, but whomever is advising him is doing a poor job. I get the feeling his initial call for wanting to see improvement is now changing as we show these signs. I understand he has played during a terrible time at Melbourne and in a terrible position. I don't begrudge him for exploring free agency, BUT, what I would like to ask is, as a leader of the club James, what have YOU done to improve the team? Stop talking, just play footy, either way we will be on the right track.

I like your thinking, but he didn't play over 100 games for his son to qualify.

This club is forging forward at last. Hold onto your hats, this is going to be a enjoyable ride! Go Dees.

Match Preview and Team Selection - round 7
Vitamin Dee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
No one deserved a promotion more than someone deserved to be dropped. .....that says plenty about our depth at the minute . -
He looks to be he love child of Adem Yze and Luke Hodge....as awkward as that possibility may be, I am open to it. I think he is a beauty and look forward to watching him for 250+ magical games for Dees.
-
Must be dropped, give us 2 10+ tackle games before even considered recalling. I have defended him since day one, but, I could be turning the corner.

Great intent Dawes, that is AFL standard!

Right in this, Pedo on fire - 3 years what a steal...

He is a quick thinking kid, this is how he gains separation from his opponents. Quick Thinking Footy Smarts Confident Determined Team Orientated Listener Ohhh how that differs from many players we have drafted over the years, not to mentioned, most much earlier that JKH's pick 40. The kid will really get the best out of himself and I will enjoy watching it!

Will stay and the Bombers as head coach, Hird to return as CEO.

I agree, although, I thought I was reading the words to a Paula Abdul song.

Chip must be thinking about his neck issue post football. He may require a specially designed and manufactured neck brace to hold his head in place, keeping it from tilting front to back after watching 20 goals fly over his head each week for 8 years. Either way we cannot be dictated to publicly, particularly by leaders who should be setting the example and driving the change, it looks terrible. This may be our chance to quickly gain momentum through trades and adequate drafting*. It's is quickly becoming less about Melbourne and more about the loss of revenue for the AFL and other clubs as patron numbers dwindle at all our games, home and away, as we continue to be noncompetitive. *None of this 'Prendergastly' crap that has crippled us.

PJ said the clubs successor would be in place by years end. This is a bold statement given the position we are in and what seems to be the need for a wise and experienced head. The way I read this; A) If it is an inexperienced senior coach, Roos must extend his contract well past 2 years - unlikely B) The club have a verbal commitment from an experienced coach that they would take the position if offered - Ratten perhaps C) They have a verbal commitment from an experienced coach that they would take the position should terms be agreed - Thompson perhaps

I am sure I read a quote from Col's U/18's Pioneers coach that went a little something like; "Colin is the most competitive beast I have ever seen" ...AAahhhhh.... I agree with Nutbean, something is seriously wrong once all of these boys enter the club and there is a pattern that is too disturbing to ignore.

Sounds like Colin Sylvia to me.

He was the sub Robbie, came on just before 3/4 time I think.

West Coast are quite a big team, we have been depleted of our tall stocks and may have further injuries to Fitz, TMac and maybe Howe. I think it is the perfect time for Stephen Gough and his team to undergo extremely thorough irrigation training at the MCG - All week, hold their calls.

LUNA PARK FAMILY DAY - Sunday, 16 February, 2014
Vitamin Dee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Unlike the last few years, hopefully it is worth more at the end of the season. -
Ridiculous. If Mitch didn't have any outside interests, particularly over the past two years, he'd be in a mental institution. It is in the best interests of everyone to have some interest away from work - keeps you sharper and much more pleasant to be around.

MFC rejects - where are they now?

Pretty sure he is the Opposition Analyst at Carlton. Destroying a list must have been a heavily weighted prerequisite for the job, no other candidate would have come close. His next job he could by the dynamite that destroys the foundations of a large building being demolished. -
Most likely Etihad Stadium in round 23, however, I like surprises.
