  1. Right in this, Pedo on fire - 3 years what a steal...
  2. He is a quick thinking kid, this is how he gains separation from his opponents. Quick Thinking Footy Smarts Confident Determined Team Orientated Listener Ohhh how that differs from many players we have drafted over the years, not to mentioned, most much earlier that JKH's pick 40. The kid will really get the best out of himself and I will enjoy watching it!
  3. Will stay and the Bombers as head coach, Hird to return as CEO.
  4. I agree, although, I thought I was reading the words to a Paula Abdul song.
  5. Chip must be thinking about his neck issue post football. He may require a specially designed and manufactured neck brace to hold his head in place, keeping it from tilting front to back after watching 20 goals fly over his head each week for 8 years. Either way we cannot be dictated to publicly, particularly by leaders who should be setting the example and driving the change, it looks terrible. This may be our chance to quickly gain momentum through trades and adequate drafting*. It's is quickly becoming less about Melbourne and more about the loss of revenue for the AFL and other clubs as patron numbers dwindle at all our games, home and away, as we continue to be noncompetitive. *None of this 'Prendergastly' crap that has crippled us.
  6. PJ said the clubs successor would be in place by years end. This is a bold statement given the position we are in and what seems to be the need for a wise and experienced head. The way I read this; A) If it is an inexperienced senior coach, Roos must extend his contract well past 2 years - unlikely B) The club have a verbal commitment from an experienced coach that they would take the position if offered - Ratten perhaps C) They have a verbal commitment from an experienced coach that they would take the position should terms be agreed - Thompson perhaps
  7. I am sure I read a quote from Col's U/18's Pioneers coach that went a little something like; "Colin is the most competitive beast I have ever seen" ...AAahhhhh.... I agree with Nutbean, something is seriously wrong once all of these boys enter the club and there is a pattern that is too disturbing to ignore.
  8. He was the sub Robbie, came on just before 3/4 time I think.
  9. West Coast are quite a big team, we have been depleted of our tall stocks and may have further injuries to Fitz, TMac and maybe Howe. I think it is the perfect time for Stephen Gough and his team to undergo extremely thorough irrigation training at the MCG - All week, hold their calls.
  10. Unlike the last few years, hopefully it is worth more at the end of the season.
  11. Ridiculous. If Mitch didn't have any outside interests, particularly over the past two years, he'd be in a mental institution. It is in the best interests of everyone to have some interest away from work - keeps you sharper and much more pleasant to be around.
  12. Pretty sure he is the Opposition Analyst at Carlton. Destroying a list must have been a heavily weighted prerequisite for the job, no other candidate would have come close. His next job he could by the dynamite that destroys the foundations of a large building being demolished.
  13. Most likely Etihad Stadium in round 23, however, I like surprises.
  14. Like I have said before, there won't be enough bronze in the world for the size statue PJ will deserve at the end of his tenure. Great effort and great momentum.
  15. Personally, I think Colin's lack of defensive running will be exposed on the larger ground.
  16. A typical European infuenced story. Started in the tackers back in approx 88 as a short pacey left foot centreman/HFF; aka soft. Shot up in height and started shaving around under 12's to see a shift to a key postion forward; enforcer. By under 15's I was back in the centre, now short again, a little less pace but still a nice left slipper; back to being soft and now worried about redemption. Soft tissue injuries kicked in and I couldn't play successive games from around 15, salt tablets and the rubdown table were my best friends, volunteers never worked so hard. I am now a 34 year old European influenced version of Yoda, minus the wisdom. Luckerly for me, I have been with my wife since I was at school. At that stage there was still hope that I get another growth spurt and that my lush hair would remain.....alas, I am now batting well above my average, Bradman like, life is great. Go Dees!
  17. All clubs need a solid foundation, it would seem someone is making one hell of a contribution. Edit: spelling
  18. Agree Bingo, and, if we can fly higher than the Hawks, Swans, Magpies, Crows or even the Eagles we will be sprinkling seeds of happiness all around town.
  19. Just read this - very similar thoughts.
