They are now because of Schwab and co. I reckon they will effect Richmonds chances at winning a flag with their current group. We along with North were seen as being a year ahead of the Tiges. Well we didn't fire a shot and have been really screwed by the expansion clubs, North are a much better chance than the Tiges, they might just get there. Won't ever agree with you on this 'wyl', I think he thinks he knows the game but his meddling has shown me he way over rates his ability in this area. What he oversaw is what he delivered on what he knew, sweet.... He's conned you mate.

Cook was selected because he was seen as the next best tall forward in the draft, he was selected on needs as we needed a tall forward. Wallace has said on a number of occasions that Tambling was selected again on needs, they were looking for mids. Drafting for needs is a very dangerous exercise. We take what we see as best available. I have faith the guys in charge now will make the right decisions.
-
No, we were placed with the first rebuild to be ahead of the expansion clubs. The management of the club was so poor that it dumped us right in the middle of the problems caused by their introduction. He doesn't know the game 'wyl', he talks a good game and that's all.
-
...and that is exactly how we picked up Lucas Cook and Richmond picked Tambling over Buddy. Best available is not a myth it's a must.
-
Not sure of your logic here 'master', if it's a shallow draft then the question is how shallow and maybe picks in the 30's would be worth very little. Anyway, if Roos and the boys are after Michie then I hope we get him.
-
Because like any conman 'wyl' he will make you believe what he is selling and never deliver. The actions never back up the mouth.
-
Aish is looking good for pick 2 at the moment.
-
No he doesn't mate, he thinks he does and that's what led us into this trouble. We should be a top 4 team with a legitimate shot at the premiership now and we're not because of someone who didn't know his football and players. He had way too much input into the football side of things and he has proven he had no idea.
-
Both were coming off injury. Rohan will be an absolute gun when he gets up and running as a mid one of the quickest players in the game, good size and good overhead. Think Dangerfield. Not saying he would be a good trade but with Parker yep.
-
I think we will know in the next couple of days whether we have a trade for pick 2. Can't see it being strung out, the club said they would look at offers over the weekend and I'm sure that would also involve the SANFL GF.
-
We don't need inside mids and we don't need outside mids we need good quality mids. These guys play inside and outside and some of them are also goal kickers, check most of the top teams and this is the case. Define the inside and outside mids at Geelong and while you're at it name the small crumbing forwards.

It will be St Kilda, they are in big trouble at the moment on and off field. There is a lot of unrest and division in the football department and amongst senior players, the coach and football boss. The Dogs are moving along ok but need to keep pushing forward and North need a top 4 finish in 2014. St Kilda are now the lame ducks, they take our title and Essendon are going to take a big hit which you would think they could get through but not without some heartache.
-
Unfortunately it took a few more years until the line was finally drawn.
-
Spot on 'Django' and losing draft picks in that time is part of the reason, it's a big penalty and you can't afford to get the ones you have wrong.
-
Heath Shaw is a much better footballer than Yarran.

Didn't hear Leigh say this but I've been on about it for years. The first time I saw Col play at Sandy I thought his reaction time and vision were second rate for such a high draft pick, it's part of the reason I don't think Col has never had the potential most others have been on about. He's always reminded me a bit of Kosi, not in size but in frustrating supporters who don't understand his limitations. I reckon he's delivered on what he's had to give. I would argue with Leigh about the foot skills, he can kick long and hard but that's about it. Part of his problem here may be due to poor decision making and peripheral vision but he wastes a lot of ball.
-
One of these guys is quick, has outstanding skills, beautiful kick of the ball on both sides, is a good decision maker, can play inside and outside and comes from a great football pedigree. The other 2 have non of this.
-
I know Essendon have had some problem with possible substance abuse but no one in their right mind would have offered 'Chappy' a 3 year deal. It did not happen.
-
Silvia will never be the player supporters have been waiting for, he is just not quite good enough. It's really that simple. He has the physical attributes but lacks in other qualities such as awareness, decision making and football sense. These are the things that have held him back.
-
Yep, an average mid at best. Too many on here have been talking him up because of his size but he doesn't give much in the middle. I honestly don't think Roos will be overly concerned, spoke all the right words but that was about it.
-
He wasn't on the list that I commented on. ...but if you start a new list I don't think you would need to get past this one before giving them pick 2 and making a run for it to get the papers registered before they realise the mistake.
-
None of these will get pick 2.
-
Even though he had plan b, c & d 'Jack'. No I think they only had plan a and he was totally p....off.
-
I think he did too 'Jack', the worry is the rubbish that came out of King's mouth a bit later. Get in the game he say's or perish, we now have the US AFL. King is not overly intelligent and thinks clubs can bring in a boom recruit or 2 and win the title like they do in the US, I think it's more likely to be a US model with an EPL result where we will have a few clubs at the top and the rest providing limited competition. At least in the EPL the season is always kept interesting as there are many prizes on offer, not jut the big one. You have the FA cup, whatever the other cup is called now, playing for a spot in Europe, promotion and relegation. With our game a lot of clubs are out of the running before the season starts or at least within the first few rounds the rest are effectively dead rubbers. This can't continue. We're not out of the woods yet by a long shot but you are right with St Kilda, things look very grim down there.

Agree with this. Peter Gordon was taken as the token charity case. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-07-29/us-trip-no-junket I hope Eddie is getting ready to shell out, nothing has come from this trip at all yet.
