  1. Hawthorn would be screwed with those losses.
  2. I think they should concentrate a bit more on winning games by playing better football than their opponent. So far they have shown potential but have not delivered, many have them a top 8 or even top 4 contender. For them it's time to put up or shut up.
  3. I would have Michie a fair way ahead. Haven't seen him (Evans) inflict much damage, he seems to have a lot of credits in the bank from his first AFL game which was promising but there hasn't been much since then and yes I know injury played a big part in that. He will need to put it together this year otherwise he will need to put more time into his studies, Law I think it is.
  4. A bit hard to count that game, as the Cat's did with Gysberts early in his career they let him run and get the ball as he was doing no damage. Out of his depth for me means he wasn't really ready for AFL football, I don't think he was and it was unfair of us to expect more from him and as Roos indicates a first year player shouldn't be seen as the saviour. When he is a high draft pick and we pass up someone like Wines it does put the pressure on, I was really positive about Jimmy when we picked him up but so far he hasn't delivered. That's not saying he won't or as 'nutbean' says it also doesn't mean he will. We just don't know. Unless he can deal with the physical side of the game then he needs more time at Casey until he is ready to come up.
  5. He has been out of his depth to date, let's hope it's not a permanent thing. It's not the soft/courage thing it's physicality, attack on the ball and having a presence around the packs. At the moment (yes he is still only a kid) he gets put out of the contest too easily.
  6. Yes he does. It doesn't mean he can't but he is way behind at the moment and I find that surprising after him playing senior footy in the SANFL for 2 seasons prior to coming over to us. It probably says a bit about the standard of that competition.
  7. I don't think they have a hope this year 'old dee', I can see their house crumbling...the players must be starting to realise their future could be tarnished and in some cases finished, that must have an effect. Last year they got a bump early playing the us against them card but later in the season the reality started to hit home.
  8. Interesting that GWS didn't take either though. ...and I agree on Wines kicking, looked pretty good to me on Sunday night.
  9. Their biggest mistakes were not making an offer for Boyd or Hogan and missing out on Cloke.
  10. I think Dom is the find and will be an A grader, the steal of the draft is likely to be Hunt. A pick from out of nowhere but a lot to offer, will see in a few years.
  11. Don't watch their show anymore, it just got tired. Not one person on that panel has a clue about football.
  12. Agree with development and am interested to see how Salem goes. He is quite solid though 'stuie' if you stand next to him, very strong through the legs. I think one reason he is being held back is the thyroid problem that they seem to be monitoring.
  13. ...you seem to be making the same mistake others have and that is because Salem looks like Toumpas he plays like him. He doesn't, he is a hard in and under player who loves to tackle but who also has a great kick on him.
  14. ...and your point is?
  15. I don't think anyone really knows who made the final decision except the ones who made it and I'm not really sure it helps to know anyway. ...but I do cringe whenever I see Darling or Wines playing now.
  16. I think we might leave Wellar out of their best 22. Delisted by another club and yet to establish himself at his new club hardly makes him a walk up start.
  17. Just repeating my post from a few days ago. With the news on Mitch we will need to target one of the key position players in this years draft. McCartin or maybe Goddard for me.
  18. Yep, more a knock on their opponent. As I asked in the previous post, "is the Swans culture damaged"? Looked like Mummy would have been handy yesterday...
  19. 'J', don't often agree with you mate but you are on the money here.
  20. ...or is it no Stone, no Sydney???
  21. Along with the Saints and the Lions I guess that's true. ...and maybe I should add the easy beat Pies. Are Freo a contender or did they beat up on nothing? Have the Swans lost their way, they're certainly one ruckman down now without Mummy and he made them pay. Pay Buddy, lose a Mummy, is that a good deal? Is the bloods culture damaged?
  22. I'm not sure what's lighter about it.
  23. Seriously guys you need to have a good hard look at yourselves. Yes I get it that he is not playing but the news for you is that he was injured playing for the club and the club will need to uphold his contract. Any thought of him retiring and absolving the club of it's financial responsibility let alone it's moral responsibility is totally reprehensible. Grow up... ...and if you want to talk about a professional club then who do you think would want to come to a club that treated it's players like this, you would think it's Mitch's fault he got injured. I've never read so much rubbish in all my life. Maybe I need to get out a bit more.
  24. Honestly mate we don't have to put up with anything, Mitch does and that's probably part of the problem. We just go to the game and support our club, after all it's just football as passionate as we may be about it. For Mitch it is his job and a huge part of his life, he probably dreamed of playing the game as a kid growing up. Good luck to you Mitch, life is short so they say so make the most of it which ever way the cards fall.
