  1. ...at one stage it looked like Bernie and Jack were 'waxing', they didn't trust some of their teammates kicking skills.
  2. Danger is not going anywhere next year, he's still contracted. The year after he is looking for premiership success not cash, that will come anyway.
  3. Superstars to me have shown it over a long period of time. Ablett was and still is, Judd has been and the others you have named are well on the way if not already there. Unfortunately we haven't had one in a long, long time.
  4. Still had some problems with the contested ball and tacking. Good when allowed to run with the ball and can take a grab but gets knocked off the ball too easily.
  5. Not this year, we will already have the foundation of a good midfield and will desperately need some class talls, that's what this draft offers. A bit like the draft that got Hawthorn Buddy and Roughy.
  6. With you on this and had been thinking same last year when we couldn't get him on the park.
  7. This is the AFL medical officer, he is not as far as I know part of the ASADA investigation.
  8. I would say no but this argument has been done a few times before. To me Flower was the last champion or superstar we have had, I'm talking competition and there are very few of these guys. Right now in the AFL probably Judd and Ablett, Brown maybe are it with a few others on the way.
  9. Beyond dispute is what she said, you can argue your point and it's a good one but that hardly makes it beyond dispute. As for their motive, who knows, neither you nor I. These were questions 'Rhino' not statements.
  10. Not what I'm saying 'Sassy', I think the subject is debatable were as 'Weber' states it as fact. It could also be argued that Siddle is not the bowler he was.
  11. 10 weeks waisted???
  12. The whole theory of diet is disputable 'Webber' and you know it. A vegetarian diet may or may not be best practice for an elite sportsperson, there is no fact here.
  13. Like many things in science this is not a practical scientific truth. You will get many who argue the opposite, where diet is concerned there seems to be no consistency in the scientific community.
  14. From Caro.."That the AFL season's opening has been hijacked by the Hird family is beyond dispute." I think I would dispute that. It's front and centre of her game which is the game that doesn't happen on the field. Personally I think the opening has been hijacked by the split round, and that is not beyond dispute just my opinion. ...but back to the issue, agree with you 'Jack'. This is all a sideshow but I do wonder what the Hird's are playing at, they are not stupid people. Do they want to get sacked and a payout before the ASADA stuff hits the fan? be overseas to avoid the fallout? Who knows???
  15. We think he is but don't know for sure. I think the depression card gets thrown around too easily and it may not be the case here at all.
  16. Probably right here 'master', with the injury a bit of rest then back into the conditioning phase. If as you say the other issues get sorted that is.
  17. Absolute gold 'Pennant'.
  18. No, you're not right in this case. Salem would have been ready if he wasn't pulled back a bit prior to Christmas, seems he had a thyroid complaint. Roos will be a bit more conservative about giving games to first year players but he is not a project player. Hunt is the project player. Also remember he was part of the Tyson deal and I reckon Tyson was pretty good the other night.
  19. Well we didn't this year, Salem is a hard nut with very good skills to match.
  20. Yep, another skinny 200cm 100kg kid.
  21. So did Gysberts, twice and he's developing out at Norwood. Who would have guessed?
  22. Flower was the last one I remember
  23. Dangerfield is contracted until the end of 2015. Worry about this next year....
  24. Not if you believe what the club has said previously. His problem they say is the result of time out caused by the foot injury and a lack of conditioning to play and train without getting soft tissue injuries. He needs to get work into his body, the foot is not a problem.
  25. I must admit to thinking aloud last night about how the AFL didn't allow us a PP. Agree, we were very slow moving forward and needed to take the game on when the ball was turned over.
