  1. Tyson can't get close to the goals at the moment 'Gonzo', give the kid a break he is too busy extracting the ball around the middle. He's been our only positive in a very poor year. Give him time to rest forward and he would get his fair share. 15th game of football and he's one of the few carrying the club.
  2. So you think a Roos led revival will happen in 2 years?
  3. Always going to be a good footballer but had it easy on Grimes today and when in the middle "mummy" helped a bit. Tyson is a great pick up, imagine if we had a winning ruck. He had to do it on his own today with Jones down early.
  4. Looks like poor old Col has no chance then.
  5. The leaders thing is probably a big part of it. Hinkley certainly changed things at Port last year.
  6. I'm not sure that job description is going to work. The dignity part is really dead in the water now, as for future coach????
  7. Not a fan of that one, just don't like any of the characters. No redeeming features.
  8. Great that Game of Thrones starts again this week. Been enjoying Justified and thought Rake was great...
  9. It's pretty obvious from todays performance if it wasn't already, that we need to get a long term commitment from PJ & Roos if this club is to be turned around. The idea that they can walk in for a couple of years and wave a magic wand is laughable. This is a serious sport and it needs to be taken seriously by those in charge including the AFL. Stop gap measures were taken by Jimmy and his board bringing the likes of G Lyon in on a part time basis working with a paralysed board and an incompetent CEO. We will need further AFL assistance to bail out our financial position and including the PP we didn't get last year plus another for this year. A full time commitment from all involved is what's needed, not a hand over...there will be nothing to hand over. We either get this commitment or I really can't see us surviving.
  10. It's usually not a single issue that causes the problem and often it is difficult to understand why?
  11. Definitely wasn't going down that path at all, and he should of been AA in that year but when you state a fact as a few others have that is incorrect it's better we get it right. I sure hope and wouldn't think it has anything to do with it. We're not talking the English cricket team here.
  12. Facts are Mitch has never been an All Australian, he made the squad but not the final side. A lot of people have had this wrong on here recently.
  13. The problem with what you suggest is that some poor undersized inexperienced kid will come in and have his career all but destroyed. It gives Frawley a get out of jail free card at the moment but when Garland comes back then all bets are off. It will also be interesting to see if Frawley goes back to Casey if he doesn't sign up, or looks like moving on. Roos has stated previously he's not in the business of developing players for other clubs.
  14. A lot, he was the man in charge and if he didn't directly make the decisions (and it seems he liked to put in his 2 bobs worth), he employed the people who did. Agree A sad reflection 'Machsy'.
  15. A few good ones in the teens and 20's though.

    AFL Round 3

Again Hardwick was out coached on match day.
  17. The only walk up start in those is either Clarke or Griffin not both. They were down with their key on ballers and it was a concern how much effect that had on the performance but it's only early days.
  18. ...and if Roos is true to his word Chip should enjoy playing out the season at Casey.
  19. I'm talking about walk up starts Hawthorn had Hodge, Lake (Susp. but same deal, did not play), McEvoy, Stratton. Sewell 50/50 Freo had Fyfe, Barlow, Dawson and one of the rucks Clarke or Griffin. Gumby 50/50
  20. They're going to have too. I hope they help us out if Clark retires this year.
  21. I think it's more a matter of him playing within his skill set, he knows he is not a great kick so plays the percentages, plays more down the line or gives off to someone who is an excellent kick. Maybe it's experience and or coaching but he doesn't take risks with his kicking as someone like Mitchell or Burgoyne will.
  22. It was Paton a few years back, then Boyd now Wright but we do need a couple of KPP. If things keep on as they are we will have a few early picks, we can use one in a trade for something really good and keep a couple.
  23. Not that much, you wouldn't want to be relying on 2 or 3 players. Hawthorn had more missing, they cover it better. If you were going to pick the Grand Finalists now it would probably be Hawthorn v West Coast/ Port...but it's a long season ahead
  24. Not a slow thinker though and this is really letting him down now.
