Been through this before but a definite no. Let him stick to unreality TV.
-
...is this post made in jest?
-
Said to a mate on Sunday morning that AFL will get him off. North will use the well known Selwood weak eyebrow defence. Well what do you know, rules on the run... Another example of Evans making Anderson look good.
-
mmmm....
-
How would he know?

I was expecting you to throw the Ablett card. Danger is a good player but nowhere near that good, he is explosive at best but is also tagged out of games too easily for mine. Ablett is rarely tagged out of games and his value has been shown when he missed the end of the season. He is/was the only player I would throw the kitchen sink at. I would rather take Crouch from Adelaide anyway. I'm also not convinced we are serious bidders here at least for 2015. Seems to me we are throwing a lot of hand grenades at the moment and it all maybe a smoke and mirrors game. Everyone from Cameron, Danger to Robinson...would love to know what the real game is. Remember Danger is a FA in 2016, wouldn't it be better to make a big offer to him now and hold until the next year where he walks and we don't give away the farm.
-
I think that's what we should do if we don't get what we want.
-
'Jack', you've been around long enough to know this doesn't work.
-
I don't want him if we have to give up 2 top 10 picks, massive overs.
-
He really doesn't have the talent, he's a very limited footballer and the only expert to really pick up on it has been Leigh Mathews. I suspect Roos has as well. He can only deal with what's in front of him and needs to see the ball or the player he's distributing to in that way. To be a real star of the game you need awareness of what is around you. I always reckon that Kosi suffered from the same issue and that the 2 of them were judged on physical characteristics and basic skills like being long kicks and not required football characteristics and therefore unfairly judged.
-
Only 1 high pick, the thought of giving 2 top 10 picks for any player is absurd and would set the club back further.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BILLY STRETCH
rjay replied to e25's topic in Melbourne Demons
Of course they will, they've been tracking him for years. -
...but he didn't have all the attributes to be a star. He was never going to be a star no matter what development or application he had.
-
They won't care if it gets them a flag.
-
You need to look at their defensive plan as well, it's not all attack. If it was Freo would have done them by over 100 points on the weekend. Their defence stood up against a lot of pressure in the first half.

Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]
rjay replied to Dr evil's topic in Melbourne Demons
Then they will stay where they are and have no chance to win a flag in the current changing environment. You have to trade to get and you have to make the hard decisions. It's a really unfortunate thing but the old idea of building a team and club on loyalty and jumper no longer exists . We have rapidly headed down the US path where it's more about the player than the club. This change has happened in the blink of an eye, the last major change like this happened when Barassi left Melbourne and professionalism started to creep into the game. We were slow on the uptake then, we can't be now. I don't like this new football world at all, but because I don't like it, it doesn't mean it will go away. Bomber Thompson alluded to this last night on 360 and he's right on the money. -
Lets wait and see how things pan out 'Gonzo', this mob don't put stuff on whiteboards they tend to get things done. Roos has an agenda and true to form we won't know about it until it happens.

A club in desperate need of a key forward to compliment a young improving midfield. I think they have to if they want to move forward and Griffen is the only one with real currency unless they want to trade away Stringer or McCrae. The other team that needs to bite the bullet is Richmond, would they trade Delidio. Again the only one with real currency, but they haven't got the courage to make tough decisions. Hardwick is too close to his players. Carlton are too dumb so they won't trade Gibbs. Freo don't want a kid so they will look for a quick fix, Frawley gives them an answer down back and if McPharlin plays on he could go forward or the current rumour is they will make a play for Waite. edit; the Cats might want a shot at McCartin, especially if Frawley doesn't end up there. They would really need to come up with a good deal though, maybe someone like Duncan. All supposition, but I like the Griffen one. -
...but they are quite capable of pinching a flag next year. I think they performed well with the injury list they had, a little bit like Sydney under similar difficulties last year.
-
He will take over from Sandi when he goes. He is streets ahead of the others.
-
...a little bit like Gary Ablett leaving Geelong and heading to GC for a new challenge. Nothing to do with the money at all.

Griffen for pick 2 and pick back to us. Now there's a great senior mid. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
rjay replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well there it is. That's the final straw that tells me we shouldn't get Petracca. If Garry says yes then no it is. Garry who picked our last 2 coaches, Garry "Scully is Judd" Lyon. Gary has no more idea of who the best junior talent in the land is than most on demonland and his track record is in the red to say the least. -
No they weren't. They finished higher on the ladder than us, beat us comfortably , had a better list and realised there admin was rubbish before us.
