Clark has enormous potential to the right club if he is alright. The potential to take them to a top 4 position at minimum. He also has potential to be a total bust. I hope we play hard ball on this. We hold all the cards here.

No that's not the question. Of course they will only think of themselves, that's why the commission was put in place and the AFL placed outside of club interests. The real questions are will the AFL do what they are commissioned to do, will they ever act with the integrity they always talk about, will they make the right decisions in the interest of the game, or will the self interest of the commissioners and senior AFL people override all else.

Neither have shown a lot at the moment. Kent is very overrated on this forum for someone that hasn't done a lot. Not saying he won't make it but he has a lot of work to do yet. People see his hardness and it's a good trait but he still doesn't get anywhere near enough ball and wastes a lot of it when he does.

This one is pretty even 'Pennant', if we take Brayshaw I think he will be a good player for us. Laverde interests me but I haven't seen enough to stick my neck out on him, McCartin has had a bit of an off year with injury and I could see him doing a Jack Darling.

It was more his lack of awareness and its mate peripheral vision that meant he was never going to be a star. As a junior he could use his physical assets such a his strength and marking to take the game on, you need so much more at AFL level. The odds are interesting. I wonder if they will improve with more information available on players now. Somehow I think there will always be some to slip through the system and some at the high end who will disappoint. With all the available information available and time in the system it's interesting that Freo still picked up Col. I reckon Roosy put one over his mate on that one. Interesting to see how he gets the better of other good mate Perty.

No, I would say he still had a few good traits that were standout as junior and didn't expose those that he didn't have. I reckon a really good recruiter would have seen this but maybe not. It's not his fault he didn't become a star, that's what I've been saying for a while now.

The only real problem I have with Silvia 'Macca', is all the MFC supporters and so called football experts who saw him as this great talent ready to explode onto the scene if only he got this or that right. I've always said he is what he is and has played to his potential. It's now being proven at Freo. Col has always been an ok footballer nothing better nothing worse, he has some good traits and those got him on an AFL list and he has some shortcomings that meant he wouldn't go much further.
