How far away is Matt Jefferson?
- Irish Recuits
Goldie has been great for us, a real heart and soul type player. Blaithin Mackin was a revelation in her first year as a premiership player last year and her sister Aimee joins us this year. Mick Stinear has been pivotal in making it happen, taking the time to visit the girls and their families in Ireland. I hope the men can follow suit, there's some great talent to tap into. The Stynes legacy must mean something.- Irish Recuits
Goldie and the Mackin sisters... ...maybe Goody needs to have a good talk with Mick.- Harley Reid
If that's the case and WC end up with the 1st pick then it makes more sense for them to trade the pick out for multiples. I'm sure they want Curtin and if they could pick up another one of tow top picks, that could set up their rebuild nicely.- Harley Reid
He's building them nicely up to their GF next week...- Harley Reid
A bit like Danger but with good foot skills.- Harley Reid
Reading between some not too subtle lines I think they're trying to get rid of him 'Mach'... Probably for some of the reasons you've mentioned above. I that case would we be interested, not sure he's a Goody type.- The Run Home
Surely ladder position is an indication of form? I won't be surprised if we drop one but astonished is a bit of a stretch. With 3 minutes to go... You've got a bit of Kane Cornes about you 'Jimmy'...- The Run Home
That's a very odd statement 'Jimmy'. I'm not a gambler but even I know that odds reflect many things, form line being the big one. I mean ladder position is a simple reflection of form line.- Aliir Aliir & Lachie Jones in Concussion Protocol
It beggars belief... A similar situation last year was ticked off by the AFL. The ground has shifted significantly. I would say the AFL were late to the party last year. ...but Port haven't bothered to show up this time. A massive miscalculation at best.- COACHES VOTES: Rd 20 2023
Thanks 'Jaded', that's my first and only big laugh of the day...- My 3 word player analysis V Richmond
I thought it was a good counter move, well worth a try.- My 3 word player analysis V Richmond
He didn't really have the right match up today with the Tiges set up. A smart move to bring Smith on in the 2nd half.- NON-MFC: Rd 20 2023
That's mean...- NON-MFC: Rd 20 2023
They pushed him up forward in the 3rd Q 'bin'...it took Hodgey until nearly half way into the last Q to notice it. About the time he kicked his first goal. I've always said our expert comments people are the best in the business and really keep us informed.- Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition

...be interesting to know who. There is always a lot of media hype around potential number 1 picks, I wonder if real recruiters (the bosses) are this hyped.- Harley Reid
It always is...- Harley Reid
Maybe, but this is food for thought.... The number 1 pick is not always the best in the year and I would say none of these are generational talents. Hodge for leadership maybe. https://www.espn.com.au/afl/story/_/id/30390521/ranking-every-no-1-afl-draft-pick-2000- Harley Reid
Scully was the best they'd ever seen as well. Martin went at pick 3... Never believe the hype.- Yze gets the Tigers Coaching Job
He would be the ideal candidate for the Tiges job... If they give him the support Hardwick got then it will be a prime gig. If they revert to the old pre Peggy/Gale Tiges then it will be fraught. Good luck Adem...- Media Bias - What can we do?
David King wrote Geelong off completely early in the season...then he got back on board, now who knows. They were all writing the Tiges on...now saying no chance of a flag. It's the entertainment business any relation to serious analysis is only in passing.- POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Adelaide

The VFA died the day that the VFL/AFL started to play Sunday footy... There was no longer a point of difference. The current VFL competition is a bit of a dogs breakfast but I guess at least some of the traditional VFA clubs are still able to hang in there. The old VFA was done and dusted.... Local footy clubs were throwing the big $'s around and they couldn't compete. The competition had lost it's shine and it's revenue base. The current VFL is probably the most cost efficient model at the moment being able to piggy back on local club infrastructure... You can't compare WAFL & SANFL competitions as they kept their clubs, there is a strong bond. Our big clubs formed the foundation of the AFL so we're left with what we have... A dogs breakfast yep, but not sure of a what a better solution looks like...- POSTGAME: Rd 19 vs Adelaide
