  1. Yes, I thought it was an oversight. Carson were the first band I saw live in concert at Festival Hall. They were supporting John Mayall...Company Caine were also on the bill. Been a Brod fan ever since...
  2. I'm happy anyway 'WERRIDEE', love your lists...(the comment was said with some levity). ...and love Kelly. Particularly used to like seeing the Coloured Girls live but I think that name caused some controversy. The lineup with Chris Wilson and Lucky Oceans was a beauty.
  3. No Dingoes? or Midnight Oil? I've also got to say Divinyls is one of the best live rock bands I've seen.
  4. Paul Kelly is not a band...
  5. A big influence on Ry Cooder, Spence is I guess vocally a mix of Tom Waits and Thelonius Monk... ...a very funky guitar.player, even if somewhat out of tune.
  6. Have a great Christmas everyone. I know I'm really looking forward to season 2024. I reckon it will be a beauty for all of us.
  7. It's always easy to pick holes in a decision but where would you suggest we build? The Tiges and C/wood might be community clubs but their facilities are both in the City of Melbourne and not in their communities. Maybe we should have them removed..
  8. Don't the tiges already have another facility? ...but both have been caught napping. Having a facility close to the MCG is yesterdays story. I'm happy we have finally moved on... Took us way too long.
  9. Yes, I think this is right. C/Wood would be on track to having the worst training facilities in the AFL if they don't make moves soon
  10. I'll put this here...congratulations Goldie and David https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=794878449345693&set=a.605499274950279
  11. This is the one thing I'm uneasy about...
  12. There is a fine line here...if Macrae's ready to rumble had of seen Maynard rubbed out for 4 as it should have would we think this was the right level of readiness or would we see at being overdone. I don't think any coach knows if his/her players are on... How many times have we heard coaches talk about thinking the team were on and they didn't give a whimper. Or the opposite. It's just not possible to know how a group of 23 players will react once the siren goes. ...and how many teams win after a poor start? many and we were in with a show. I don't think it was the poor start that killed us...the game is played over 4 Q's. For what it's worth I still think it was injury that cost us a realistic shot at the 2023 flag.
  13. I want you to say what you would do... No you're not merely pointing out the stats, you're blaming Goodwin. ...what would you have done differently?
  14. ...and have 'Eye of the Tiger' playing at max volume in the rooms before the game. Goody running through the changing room doors, smashing it off it's hinges...
  15. Still waiting for a response ' @Bring-Back-Powell'... It's ok to keep saying this stuff. ...but give an answer, what would you have done?
  16. How do you propose they do that???
  17. I think having differing opinions is one of the great things about footy and sport in general. As others have pointed out however some of the name calling is puerile. The thing I find most disappointing is those who don't really stand by their opinions with a solid reasoning. They will throw things out there but don't back them up and/or come up with an alternative strategy. This seems a common problem with society in general these days.
  18. When fit... First you have to have a good list, then it needs to stay fit and on the park. We only had one half of the equation at the end of the season. ...and to add to it, most of our injuries occurred in our weakest area of the ground where thy could be least afforded.
  19. Is this the Premiership coach they're talking about 'Walking', the one who broke a 57 year drought???? Let me see, who is that doesn't have a clue??? Premiership coach or know it all on a fan site.
  20. I think people forget that Melksham's spot was really a make up spot because of other injuries to KPF's If we look at our preferred structure, 2 KPF's and a ruck/forward. ..If BBB is fit then we have 2 spots to fit him JVR and Petty for starters. Plus a lot of pressure on for the small/medium forwards. Interesting 2024 ahead.
  21. It's a good core to build from with quality new recruits coming in.
  22. With the new kids they often hold them back a bit with a modified program...
  23. I suspect it was a bump he was aiming to deliver all along, poorly disguised as a smother. Even Hamilton Burger could have gotten a conviction in this case. Shows how poorly the AFL handled it.
  24. Not going to help me much either 'Dockett'... ...but it was always one of the big talking points against VFL park. I quite liked going to the footy at Waverley.
  25. Caulfield has a train station...a big plus
