Geelong? Richmond? No, I don't think you can draw that conclusion.

It wasn't leaked to the ABC... The journalist, Russell Jackson carried out his own investigation and spoke separately with families involved. He was not reporting on the confidential report.

I would be looking at him more as a defender if we're going to play Petty forward. ...not sure what his contested work is like but we need to look at someone if we're to free Lever up a bit more.
-
The club usually look at these things a few years ahead. I wonder if we have interest in him. Well worth a look I would have thought.

Surely our cap is not in that much of a mess? I wonder how much is tied up with Tommy, BBB & Tommo? I wouldn't think a lot with Melk & Hibbo.

The way some have been talking lately on Demonland we won't need to trade into the top pick. We're a shoo-in to finish last and will probably also be offered a priority pick.

Yes 'Webber' has said that before...take it from the physio. Strains are a kind way of saying you've torn your hammy...

I wouldn't want to be the person responsible for him being the next Luke Shuey... You get it wrong and it can dog you the rest of your career. If we're smart we will be really conservative on this one. Oliver is more important than one game.

Unfortunately you don't play AFL at 75%... In previous personal experience of hamstring injuries you can get to around 75%/80% within a week or 2. Getting past that level is where the problem lies. He will be back after the bye, anything earlier will be too big a risk.

Not a shambles as such but yes we only have 2 forwards that an opposition would be concerned with... A list management shambles maybe.

Poor coaching by Voss tonight. Let Longmire play the game on his terms. Heeney played Cripps out of the game. Would have been smart to move Cripps forward.

He actually got it caught under another player. It wasn't a simple roll. Could be a Lisfranc???

I've always found Southwark to be undrinkable...

Death Riding Fremantle 2023 - Feathered Cap Edition
rjay replied to adonski's topic in Melbourne Demons
They're really not either... Their start was a false economy as is their current form. They've beaten bottom or banged up teams. They sit somewhere around 9 to 12...anything lower is a bonus for us. -
$14...I haven't been to a game since before covid. I'm not in a hurry if this is what's going on.

The inconsistencies are a real issue and I'm not sure what the ultimate game from the AFL is... I guess at some stage the game may be come a non contact sport. Hunter alluded to this the other night with his comment about giving clear path to Rozzeeeee. Will it be a good enough spectacle and keep drawing the support of fans? It's going to be an interesting watch. I'm not sure the AFL have the right people (brain power) in place to sort out the mess the game has become. They look at the crowd figures and give themselves another bonus. By the time Tassie get into the competition it will be a very different game if they keep pushing it this way. If the rusted on supporters (us that are taken for granted) are finding it a hard watch then there is trouble brewing.

Lachie Hunter Loses Bid To Overturn 1 Week Suspension
rjay replied to Monbon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Of course he could...he chose not too. My belief is the Rozee put himself in danger. I think players are putting too much faith in duty of care and are create dangerous situations for themselves. In this case Rozee didn't need to keep on at the ball with his head down, he could have turned side on as Hunter did. -

The way that they are looking at these reports is all wrong. Rozee and players that put themselves in danger like this need to do time to take responsibility for their actions. It was a stupid non football move...anyone that's played the game in the past would never have done this. He put his head down into an oncoming player. This is becoming more prevalent and we're going to see serious injury and it will be the AFL's fault for not stamping this out of the game. They have is a...up -

Watch his Grand Final performance...their's your answer. He might have a baby face but he's certainly not a baby when it matters.
-
...and he was right.

No, and that's why it's up to Max to lift his game when he's confronted by these attacks. If the opposition know he's only gong to play better, they will lay offf. Unfortunately to date it's been the opposite. His performance has suffered.
-
It's not about retaliating it's about going harder at the next contest. There are players that you never try and get under their skin as they only play better. This is the leaning (Goody speak) Max needs. You're never too old to learn.
-
I'm not sure...Port have been targeting Max for a number of years now. They were prepared to give away a few free kicks because the tactic works. First & foremost Max needs to look after himself by taking the game on. He's a big boy. If he goes up another level then the tactic fails, but he didn't. His game was off which ensures he will get more of the same. As for the team, they need to up the pressure rating in these games then maybe flying the flag wouldn't be necessary. The opposition would be more concerned with getting a kick away & hitting a target.
