She's a ripper... My comment re her and Garner is not meant as a put down, I just think Goldie might be the better match on pure defensive terms. Shelley might get the job and it wouldn't surprise me, she will be a real pain in the a... for Garner and may hurt more going the other way.

I think we might go with Goldie...Heath is a tenacious tagger but may be a bit too small for Garner.

You would have to think we have a plan in place. If we can see it from the outside then surely the club can. ...because as you say at the moment it looks very thin on paper. It will be more than interesting to see how the list stands after the trade and draft period.

Yes, we do need to strengthen our list but I'm not sure any of these players are a realistic option to do it. Tommy Hawkins is only one step behind TMac & BBB, and this step is quite likely to be in 2024. We don't need another crippled KPF. Isaac has retired...he made it pretty clear that the country lifestyle & Cats coaching philosophy was a big part of him playing on there. Sure, ask the question but I don't think he sees city life in his future plans. Sam Reid is an interesting call. I really rate Sam as a player & a fit Sam Reid would be a huge asset. He would have been for Sydney in the 2022 GF & that's the problem. You very rarely get a fit Sam Reid. As for Ginnivan, I just don't think he's very good. He is a very lucky premiership player who offered nothing on the big stage. A fit Adams would have played ahead of him.

I'm of that persuasion too 'Jimmy', was always a fan of the Allan Jeans give them nothing boring press conference. ...but having said that, I'm not overly fussed by the whole thing. Hawkins has been a great player and despite all the don't like hims on here is probably a good bloke. Never met him so wouldn't know... Anyway, I think he's shot. Do we really want to carry Tmac, BBB and Tommy Hawkins on the list.

Unfortunately Tmac is pretty much done...so I wouldn't be relying on him as tall depth. Bigger turning circle and slower than Tommo.

Zanker, great game today. Goldy might be a bit hit and miss with the skills at times but really important with opposition big bodies around the ball. She doesn't let up, love the way she goes about it. Harris important in the ruck last Q. Campbell needs to come back in next week to give us a bit more flexibility. We have had it a bit easy so far this season so hopefully this is a bit of a wake up and not a trend. The next few weeks will tell.

She got a reprieve last week with Harris injured...as I said then I reckon playing her has been a big part of Pearce's resurgence. Maybe it's a longer term strategy but I like what she brings & would also keep playing her.

Not really...McStay was probably the only C/Wooder to miss. Brisbane were pretty complete, the other top 4 team in Port had injury problems and shared the same fate as us.
